5,000 meals packed. One Saturday. One Dallas Ford showroom that decided to show up for its city.
Five Star Ford didn't just open their showroom, they partnered with Tango Charities to put 5,000 meals on their way to families across Dallas.
This is Feed The City, powered by Five Star Ford and Tango Charities.

We came to Globe Life Field with a mission and left with a Guinness World Record! 20,322 sandwiches measuring 1.44 miles, put together by 1,000 volunteers. All of the food was donated to and distributed by our partner organizations in North Texas (Mission Arlington, New Life Church, 5 Loaves).
This is what community looks like!

More than 10 years ago, Jerry Hunt came to me with a simple question: “What would it take to start a Feed The City event in Fort Worth?”
At the time, Jerry was already making the drive from Fort Worth to Dallas and Plano twice every month to help set up, serve, and clean up at our events. He wasn’t looking for recognition. He simply wanted to do more for his community.
On June 18, 2016, we hosted our very first Feed The City event in FunkyTown.
Ten years later, Jerry is still leading that same event every month. What started as one gathering has grown into three monthly Feed The City events across Fort Worth, creating opportunities for thousands of volunteers to serve their neighbors and helping provide countless meals to those in need.
Jerry, thank you for a decade of leadership, consistency, and heart. Thank you for showing up month after month, year after year. Most importantly, thank you for loving your community and making a lasting impact in the lives of so many people.
Fort Worth is better because of you—and so are countless lives far beyond it.
Did you see this? Our Guinness World Records event was featured on ABC News across all ABC networks nationwide!
And don’t miss their important call to action… We are looking forward to leaders around the U.S. stepping up on Saturday, September 19, to lead a one-day event for FEED THE COUNTRY!

On Saturday, June 13, we will be breaking a Guinness World Record at Globe Life Field. After we pack and lay out all of the sandwiches, volunteers will head over to Troy’s in Texas Live to wait for the official count and announcement.
As we wait, we will have live music by Clayton Stewart, presented by Melody of Hope!

Thank you to The Dallas Morning News for writing this article covering our Guinness World Record Attempt! We need you on Saturday, June 13!
Come on out and let's take back our record.
Volunteers needed to break Guinness record for 'longest line of sandwiches' In 2022, a Dallas-based charity made over 10,000 sandwiches, a Guinness World Record. In 2026, they'll have to make nearly 5,000 more to win the title back.

We are THRILLED to announce that ABC’s World News Now and Good Morning America First Look Anchor, Hanna Battah, is coming back to North Texas to emcee our Guinness World Record attempt for the Longest Line of Sandwiches!
On June 13th, thousands of volunteers will come together at Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers, to make history and make a difference. Every sandwich packed that day goes directly to local families facing hunger this summer, because when school lets out, childhood hunger spikes. And we’re not okay with that.
This is more than a record. This is a movement.
Come be part of it.
