That moment when you get home to find an envelope from the government, and it's not bad news, but quite the contrary... Ha!

It was an appreciation recognition for my participation as a keynote speaker for their Veterans Affairs Department, bringing one of my keynotes in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (this is a ).

Truly, one of my favorite times of the year as a speaker!

I'd love to speak at your organization about the benefits of including:

🧠 Cognitive health and peak performance for your teams
😴 Sleep optimization for workplace effectiveness
🔥 Burnout prevention and sustainable success
👩🏽‍💼 Women’s health, longevity, and leadership
✨ Belonging, identity, and the power of owning our diverse heritage and stories

THANK YOU to all the wonderful organizations that have already booked me for this year and invested in me, a Latina, a woman of color, and a small business owner.

It truly means a lot!

And if you know any HR leader, ERG leader, event planner, university administrator, or executive who should see this, PLEASE TAG THEM below, send them this post, or help me make a warm introduction.

I'm back home (Philly!), and I'm doing something I haven't done: delivering my keynote "Your Millionaire Brain: Supercharge Your Brain for Peak Productivity at Work and in Life," at a wonderful organization in my own city, and I'm LOVING it! 🧠✨

In this keynote, I teach ambitious professionals how they can use neuroscience-backed strategies to strengthen focus, protect their energy, make better decisions, and perform at a high level... all without sacrificing their health in the process.

But this trip feels especially meaningful for another reason.

Most of my visits to Philly are quick trips centered around spending time with my parents. Land on a Friday. Hug my parents. Eat everything my mom cooks (sancocho, mangú, "los tres golpes"... Dominican food rocks lol). Flight back to Texas on Sunday.

For years that was the whole trip. My friends here would find out I'd been in town after I was already back in Texas.

"Wait... you were HEREEEEE?"

But this week is different. I blocked the calendar. I'm staying longer. And I made it a priority to reconnect with the friends I love and have missed so much.

There’s truly no place like home ❤️

---

Now, here's the part I want to hear:

I’m coming back during the second week of November, and I’m holding 3 speaking spots for local organizations.

For Philadelphia-based companies, universities, professional associations, leadership teams, and ERGs interested in bringing me in, I’ve created exclusive hometown booking options to help make an engagement possible during this visit.

HERE'S WHAT'S WORTH YOUR ATTENTION:

My speaking engagements normally involve additional travel expenses (airfare, lodging, and travel days). For these three engagements, those costs come off the table because I’m already coming home.

This isn’t a discount on my work. It’s a hometown window that exists only because I’ll already be there.

If budget has been the one thing standing between your team and one of my sessions, this is the right time to start the conversation.

This opportunity is for my Philly community only (spots available first-come, first-served).

If your organization is planning programming around:

🧠 Cognitive health and peak performance for your teams

😴 Sleep optimization for workplace effectiveness

🔥 Burnout prevention and sustainable success

👩🏽‍💼 Women’s health, longevity, and leadership

✨ Belonging, identity, and the power of owning our diverse heritage and stories

My tips to avoid Sunday Scaries! If every Sunday you feel a sense of anxiety or dread before heading back to work, you're not alone!

According to this LinkedIn survey, 80 percent of professionals say they experience (linking the survey in the comments).

During the weekend, your cognitive load is significantly lowered, so it’s easy to let your guard down. It takes a lot of mental energy to prep for upcoming tasks.

Some of our Sunday scaries might stem from our gearing up to access the parts that we don’t use during the weekend. Makes sense, right?

Here are 3 tips to help you with that:

1. Meditate!

We can’t stop thoughts about the Sunday Scaries or anything else — the mind will always think. But meditation can help us manage our thoughts so we can snap ourselves back into being more present and stress less about the week ahead. Regular meditation practice helps us build awareness and resilience so we don’t get so stuck in our thoughts.

2. Get some sleep!

Have a cup of herbal tea or tart cherry juice to help you sleep. Go to bed at the same time every Sunday night. Getting enough sleep can help you feel at your best the next day so you can start your week on the right foot.

3. Create a to-do list for Monday!

Before you go to bed, jot down the most important things that you need to do on Monday morning. This can help you release your worries and organize your thoughts so you can fall asleep much more easily.

Thank you, Salesforce, for having me deliver my keynote "Sleep Optimization for Peak Performance at Work and in Life" for your team members. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of doing that work with a team whose leaders already understood something most organizations are still catching up to: rest is a performance strategy, not a perk.

✨ When team members are well-rested, they show up sharper, more focused, more resilient under stress, and far less prone to burnout. That’s not just good for individuals; it’s a win-win for the entire organization.

Did I mention I LOVE delivering this keynote for technical teams? They're some of the most well-read audiences I speak to. What's missing is a frame that fits how they already think about sleep and resting.

We talked about sleep as infrastructure - the maintenance window where the brain runs garbage collection and commits the day to long-term storage. Skip the window, and you accrue cognitive debt, which always gets paid back during your hardest sprint.

I’m always grateful to partner with companies that prioritize their people’s well-being and trust my work to help make it happen.

✨ Special thanks to Pamela Aquino for being an absolute rockstar and ensuring everything ran smoothly for our event!

We're officially into the second half of the year, and I'd love to be in the room with your team, whether that's a leadership offsite, an ERG event, a conference, or a company summit.

Companies that bring in external speakers see a 23% jump in employee engagement and productivity. So the question isn't whether to invest in a speaker for your next event... It's who!

🧠 I specialize in the topic most leadership teams haven't put on the agenda yet: THE BRAIN.

Burnout, decision fatigue, chronic sleep deprivation, cognitive decline — these aren't soft issues. They're performance issues. And when organizations bring neuroscience into the conversation, something measurable shifts.

I'm deeply grateful for every organization that has trusted me with their stage this year. Walking into a room full of driven professionals and watching the lightbulbs go off... that's exactly why I do this work!

Here's a list of (some of) the keynotes I can deliver for your organization:

✅ "Your Millionaire Brain: Supercharge Your Brain for Peak Productivity at Work and in Life"

✅ "Your Voice and Your Story are Your Superpower" [my most popular and top-rated workshop for your multicultural, diverse workforce]

✅ “Mental Health and Mindfulness at Work - Staying Grounded in Corporate America

✅ "Sleep Optimization for Peak Productivity at Work and in Life"

✅ “The Neuroscience of Achieving the Work-Life Balance Dream”

"Los machitos no lloran (men don't cry)." He didn't come to talk to me after my keynote because he was afraid he'd cry.

If you grew up in a Hispanic or Latino culture, you know that line (maybe not in those exact words, but you know it)... Ser fuerte. Aguanta. Don't let them see you struggle.

For generations, that was survival. In Corporate America, it's become something else.
