Dr. Tamara Polajnar, CEO of herEthical AI, will examine how language can reinforce victim-blaming and coercive narratives and explore how explainable AI could help identify these patterns more consistently.

The session will also consider the limitations of AI and why technology should remain a tool alongside human expertise, investigative training, and trauma-informed practice.

Meet Tim, a medical student and aspiring surgeon who has been volunteering with DARCC since March 2026.

Outside of volunteering, Tim enjoys swimming laps, discovering new coffee shops, and painting. But what he values most about volunteering with DARCC is the opportunity to challenge misconceptions about sexual violence—work that can have a meaningful, healing impact for survivors.
