Kentucky Friday. Mississippi Saturday. We’re covering some ground this weekend!

First stop: Independence, KY for the Heart Country Music festival with our friends Clint Black and Jo Dee Messina.

Then we’re heading south to Forest, MS for Saturday night at Tadlock Legacy Coliseum, playing after the NCPRA Rodeo.

Shhhh… don’t tell anybody! We’re in Texas tonight, just outside Dallas, playing a private event. Then it’s a 2:45 AM wake-up call to catch a flight to Ohio for tomorrow’s show with our buddies Lonestar at the Obetz Zucchini Festival!

Ahhh, the glamorous life of a traveling musician. 😂 But hey, somebody’s gotta do it!

And truthfully, we wouldn’t trade it. We’re lucky to still be out here doing what we love and getting to show up for y’all at these festivals and shows.

There are some losses that feel almost impossible to put into words. We’re mourning the loss of a true bright light, Dolly Parton. 💔

We had the privilege of performing alongside Dolly on a gospel number during an awards show, a memory we’ll always cherish, with one of the greatest voices, songwriters and humanitarians our world has ever known.

Dolly also holds an especially special place in Del’s heart. Del and Tina were married at the Robert F. Thomas Chapel at Dollywood, a replica of Dolly’s childhood church.

Dolly’s talent was extraordinary, but it was her heart, kindness, humor and generosity that made her truly one of a kind. She made the world brighter simply by being in it.

Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the memories and the light you gave all of us. Your legacy will live on forever. ❤️
