Natural Bridge Caverns, located between New Braunfels and San Antonio, is home to the largest known cavern system in Texas. The massive formations you see hanging from the ceiling are called stalactites, while the formations growing from the ground are stalagmites—and some have been slowly forming for thousands of years.

The cavern system was discovered in 1960, and amazingly, it’s still alive and growing today. And because exploring underground apparently wasn’t cool enough, you can even catch live music in the caverns during their Live Underground concert series—inside the deepest concert venue in Texas! 🎶

Have you ever explored a cavern before?

What are those formations hanging from the ceiling? They’re called stalactites! The thin, straw-like ones are often called “soda straws.” They form as mineral-rich water drips through the limestone, depositing calcite over time. The formations rising from the ground are called stalagmites.

How old are they? The formations have grown over thousands of years—and amazingly, the caverns are still active and growing today. Natural Bridge Caverns says some formations grow at roughly one inch every 100 years, which really puts the scale of these formations into perspective!

Location: Natural Bridge Caverns is located in Comal County, between New Braunfels and San Antonio, making it an easy adventure from either city. It’s the largest known cavern system in Texas.

When was it discovered? While the land and entrance were known earlier, the spectacular cavern system was discovered by four St. Mary’s University students on March 27, 1960. They expected a small cave and instead found about two miles of chambers filled with incredible formations.

Concerts underground?! Yes! Natural Bridge Caverns hosts the Live Underground concert series in its Ballroom, a natural underground chamber 150 feet below ground—making it the deepest concert venue in Texas. 🎶⛰️

Non tutti i Prosecchi sono uguali. Questa denominazione nasce tra le colline di Conegliano e Valdobbiadene, un territorio caratterizzato da pendii ripidi, altitudini elevate e un clima ideale per preservare freschezza e aromi dell’uva Glera, il vitigno simbolo del Prosecco.

Durante la degustazione ho scoperto la filosofia di Andreola, una cantina che valorizza il terroir, le singole parcelle e le diverse colline della zona, esprimendo attraverso ogni bottiglia l’unicità di questo territorio.

Yes, I've been quiet.

Grief has no expiration date. Love doesn't disappear, so neither does the longing. It's been about 2 weeks since Ive posted. Its been such a rollercoaster of emotions. This past week was so bad. But today is a little better.

I really miss my little furbaby. Grief is unchartered territory for me. Its taking alot of time.
