Look at what’s possible when a young woman has a path forward.
A chance to learn.
A chance to work.
A chance to discover what she’s good at.
A chance to build a future she chooses for herself.
This is what opportunity should look like.
But for too many young women and girls, barriers can make that future harder to reach.
A lack of experience, support, or connections.
Transportation challenges that make it difficult to get to an interview or job.
Limited access to mentorship and the support needed to gain employment and thrive.
That’s where opportunity can make a difference.
Today is North Texas Giving Day, and we’re raising $5,000 to support Nomi Network’s Dallas program.
Your gift helps survivors and underserved youth across North Texas access workforce training, career support, transportation assistance, mentorship, and connections to employment.
That means more opportunities to build skills.
More opportunities to discover strengths.
More opportunities to earn an income and build stability.
More opportunities to imagine a future beyond the barriers they’ve faced.
Will you help open the door to what comes next?

When Shannon joined Nomi Network’s program in January, trust didn’t come easily.
She was attending college while navigating complex PTSD and OCD. Past trauma had made her guarded, and that showed up everywhere, including her job search. Restricted to two days of work a week, with no car to get to interviews, even a first step felt out of reach.
Slowly, that changed.
Session by session, Shannon opened up. She and her Employment Specialist built her resume, practiced interviews, and worked through the real, practical barriers in her way, including helping her secure a car through a nonprofit partner. Somewhere in that process, she realized the path she’d been on wasn’t the right one. Her strengths pointed toward tech and math instead, so we connected her with NPower to start building a new career path.
She’s now applying for certification programs. She’s landing interviews. And she had the courage to walk away from what wasn’t working and start over on something that actually fits.
Her story is still being written. She’s moving forward anyway.
📣 We’re working to raise $5,000 for North Texas Giving Day, and there is just 1 more day to give.
Your gift today helps us reach more young women and girls like Shannon who are ready to rebuild, retrain, and reimagine their future.

This Labor Day, we’re celebrating work that creates freedom.
Labor Day began as a movement to recognize the contributions of workers and to fight for better working conditions, fair treatment, and greater economic opportunity. The progress we have today was made possible because people came together to demand more.
But there is still more work to be done.
Around the world, millions of people remain vulnerable to exploitation and human trafficking because they lack access to safe employment and economic opportunity.
At Nomi Network, we believe safe, dignified work can be a powerful pathway to freedom. We equip women and girls with the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to pursue sustainable livelihoods and build safer futures.
This Labor Day, we honor the workers and changemakers who pushed for a better future, and we recommit to the work still ahead.
Because every person deserves the opportunity to work, thrive, and live free.

🎉 We’re honored to share that Nomi Network has been awarded a $15,000 grant from the Orchid Giving Circle which partners with the Communities Foundation of Texas!
This grant will directly support our Dallas Youth Workforce Development Program — helping young survivors and opportunity youth across North Texas build safe, sustainable pathways to economic independence. It also fuels our work to expand awareness and services for the North Texas Asian community, a population too often overlooked in conversations about trafficking prevention and survivor support.
Thank you to the Orchid Giving Circle and Communities Foundation of Texas for investing in our mission and in the resilience of the youth we serve. 💛

At 25, Mara was weighing a decision that would shape her future. Deciding to leave Cambodia in search of work in Thailand or to find a way to build a safe, stable future closer to home.
She had just finished her studies and wanted nothing more than to support her family, but with few opportunities nearby, migration felt like the only option. But the risk of exploitation was real.
Everything shifted when Mara joined Nomi Network’s Workforce Development Program in her village. She started out quiet, listening more than speaking. With the emphasis on program participation and encouragement from the group, she began asking questions, sharing ideas, and stepping into the space, experiencing small leadership moments she never would have imagined.
Today, Mara works at an electric cable factory in Cambodia and has been promoted to an administrative role. She earns around $204 a month and saves 10% of it. She travels home on weekends, and women in her community now come to her for guidance… the same guidance she once needed herself.

Milan was 10 when her parents withdrew her from school, and even as her education ended, her dream of returning to school stayed with her.
She got married young and became a mother at nineteen, and for years her world stayed limited to home and family until her son started school and she began stepping outside more. A friendship she made while dropping him off encouraged her to think again about her own future. When she learned about the Nomi Network Workforce Development Program, she applied, leaving her children with her parents so she could focus on the sessions.
She often wondered if she could still finish her education. She heard about a former participant who went back to school at night and realized her dream was still possible. Through sessions on self-awareness and well-being, and the comfort of other women’s shared experiences, Milan slowly began rebuilding her confidence.
Today, she is continuing her education and starting a tailoring business to support her family. As Milan says, “I will try again, and I will stand on my own feet.”
