MONDAY MORNING AUTHOR EDITION: Talking Animals bookseller Sam recommended this book to me and I’m so excited to read it. Honestly, as soon as he said “haunted town” I was sold, but this sounds so good and layered!! Has anyone read it?

I love a local bookstore. But I love MY local bookstore the most.

Friday check in. What’s good? What are we reading? I’m finally at home for a weekend and I’m all about it. I’m doing a re-read of DCC on audio and am going to dive into an ARC of When They Find Me by Carter Wilson this weekend.

Oh, and I’m going to watch a bunch of Cub Scouts launch rockets tomorrow. And then maybe I get out the Halloween decorations…

Give me a great bookseller team, smart and scary author friends, and the amazing readers who are not afraid to try to pin me down about the twist at the end of The Secret Attic or threaten to arm wrestle people on my behalf.

Georgia brought its best for the Poisoned Pen Press Thriller Showcase at BAM! and I can’t wait to do it again next year.

I was not prepared for the writing retreat house in Michigan to have so many Easter eggs for my novels, but The Farmhouse barn is here, there’s an attic entrance much like The Secret Attic, I’ve seen white moths every night (when you read Her Sister’s Ghosts this will make sense), and crows are cawing outside my window right now.

If there was ever a place to jumpstart my next novel, this house is it. But also I get to be with five of my closest friends and have family dinners and laugh until I cry.

Good decisions have been made. It’s my last day here and I’m hopeful for my biggest daily word count yet. Wish me luck. And I that I don’t bring any ghosts home with me. I’m only allowed one carry on.

It’s back-to-school time. So allow me to tell you about some courses that could use The Farmhouse and The Secret Attic as required reading. 😉

It’s been almost three months since the release of The Secret Attic, and every day I get new messages from readers meeting Addison, Luke, and *ahem* Barb.

Have you read it yet? Every jaw-drop tag in an IG story when you hit the last twist fuels me. 🤣 I’ve got a writing retreat coming up soon, so hit me with those reactions. But keep the secret for everyone else.
