Believing youth are the greatest asset for the future of their community and transformation best occurs in the context of relationship, we value people over programs to see lasting change realized. Everything we do exists to cultivate mutually transforming relationships with inner-city youth through Christian Mentorship
We believe true and lasting change will be brought about by the residents, particularly the children, of this community. Mercy Street's hope is to raise a new generation of leaders from the community to be the change agents of tomorrow. Sometimes an infusion of hope and help from the outside is all that is needed to make a monumental difference. That is where our mentors, coaches, and volunteers come in. They are tasked with being an encourager, friend, and advisor to the children over the course of many years. Mercy Street also seeks to be "incarnational" in our ministry efforts, meaning we relocate to the place where we minister in order to put flesh on the redemptive message of the gospel. Whether a physical relocation (like most of our staff) or a mental relocation (like most of our mentors), we invite everyone to take on the cares and concerns of the community as their own. We believe this is part of “loving our neighbors as ourselves.”
At Mercy Street, we prayerfully work together to push back against the thorns and thistles that have taken root in West Dallas so that God's Kingdom reign might be evident. Urban decay points to spiritual decay. As Christians it is our delightful responsibility to enter into the dark places of the world and let the light of Christ shine. Light always repels darkness. Join the movement and shine the light of Christ in our community.

Join Mercy Street and Buckner International for Trunk-or-Treat ’26, a fun-filled Halloween celebration for families in our West Dallas community!
Saturday, October 31st from 6:30-8:00 PM
Mercy Street Sports Complex
3500 Goldman Street, West Dallas
Come dressed in your favorite costume and enjoy an evening of treats, community, and fall fun. Registration is required for admission. Please scan the QR code on the flyer to RSVP before attending.
⚠️ For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, purses and backpacks are not permitted. Candy bags are welcome. Costumes featuring blood, gore, frightening imagery, or other inappropriate themes will not be allowed.

Today was a GREAT first day of fall soccer, with baseball and football running, too! We were even joined by our friends from St. Philips joining us for 8U soccer (in red)! A fun, sunny Saturday at the Mercy Street Sports Complex in the sunshine! ☀️

🥹 This morning, our team woke up to discover the incredible blessing of YOUR gifts to Mercy Street yesterday. Over $431,000 was donated this year during North Texas Giving Day, surpassing our $350,000 goal and setting our new fundraising record for this annual campaign.
We cannot begin to thank God and you enough for your continual support across our Sports, Mentoring, Leadership, After School and Summer Camp programs for the children of West and South Dallas. By His grace, we pledge to continue serving and encouraging those children in record numbers and showing them His love.

Today is the big day! Thanks to so many of your early gifts, we are closer than ever to unlocking the full $150,000 in matching grants this North Texas Giving Day. If you have already given, thank you! Your swift generosity helped us build momentum right out of the gate, and it is already changing what is possible for the children and families we serve.

The M.K. Sowden Foundation has awarded Mercy Street Dallas a $50,000 matching grant in support of North Texas Giving Day.
Through September 17, donations to Mercy Street may be matched dollar-for-dollar, helping support Christ-centered sports, mentoring, leadership development, after-school programming and summer camp for children across North Texas.
