10 red flags about your chiropractor đŸš©

Not every chiropractor practices the same way.

And if your goal is to get out of pain AND get back to doing what you love, your care should involve more than temporary relief.

Here’s what we mean:

X-rays with no clear clinical indication
Imaging should have a reason behind it, not just be part of every visit.
No exercise involved
If you want your body to move and perform better, you need to build strength and capacity.
You’re seeing your chiropractor 3x/week
More visits don’t automatically mean better results.
You’ve been going for 3+ months and still have pain
If nothing is changing, the plan should be reassessed.
There are no goals for your care
You should know what you’re working toward.
There’s no end date
Good care should have a plan for getting you back to doing things on your own.
There’s no way to measure progress
You should be able to see whether you’re actually improving.
You’re told to stop doing certain activities
The goal should often be to help you build the capacity to do the things you love, not avoid them forever.
You’re told you’re “out of alignment”
Your body is more complicated than simply being “in” or “out” of alignment.
They’re not RXN Performance
Okay
we’re kidding on this one 😂

But seriously, if you’re tired of temporary fixes and want a plan built around your goals, training, and the things you actually want to get back to doing

We’d love to work with you.

DM us “RXN” and let’s talk.

Some people just want their back pain to go away.

But if you’re someone who loves to train, that’s not really the goal.

You want to squat without thinking about your back.

Deadlift without wondering when it’s going to flare up.

Finish a workout without worrying about how you’ll feel tomorrow.

You don’t need to avoid the gym forever.

You need to figure out what your body is missing, rebuild your capacity, and progressively get back to what you love.

That’s what we do at RXN Performance.

So if you’re ready to hit the gym again without constantly worrying about your back

I hope you call me.

Your ab wheel shouldn’t feel like a low back exercise.

If you feel your low back taking over every time you roll out, the answer isn’t always to stop doing the ab wheel.

It may be that you’re asking your body to control more range than it currently can.

When you lose your abdominal position and dump into your low back, you’re no longer getting the same stimulus you intended.

Instead, try shortening the range.

Keep your ribs and pelvis controlled, create tension through your abs, and only roll out as far as you can maintain that position.

You might not go as far.

But you’ll have more control, better abdominal engagement, and a movement you can actually progress.

And that’s an important part of rehab:

Don’t just push through a movement because you think you should be able to do it.

Find the range you can control.

Build strength there.

Then progressively earn more.

If your back keeps hurting during exercises you want to be able to do, there may be more to the problem than just your technique.

At RXN Performance, we look at how you move, what your body can currently handle, and what needs to improve so you can get back to training without constantly working around pain.

Try this tweak and let us know how it feels.

Your knee hurts during an overhead squat.

But your knee might not be the problem.

If your ankle doesn’t have the mobility you need to get into a strong squat position, your body still has to find a way to complete the movement.

And when one area can’t do its job, another area has to pick up the slack.

That’s where compensations can start to show up.

Your knee.
Your hip.
Your back.
Even your shoulders.

Especially when you’re repeatedly loading the movement through overhead squats, sn**ches, and other demanding lifts.

That’s why at RXN Performance, we don’t just treat the spot that hurts.

We look at the entire movement and figure out what may be contributing to the breakdown.

Then we work on mobility, control, strength, and capacity so you can actually own the movement under load.

Because being able to perform a movement once isn’t the goal.

You want to be able to train hard without constantly wondering when something is going to hurt again.

Feeling better doesn’t always mean you’ve fixed the problem.

You can loosen up your back.

You can get your back moving again.

You can even leave a treatment feeling great.

But if the movement problem that contributed to your back pain is still there, what happens when you go back to lifting, training, or doing the things you love?

The pain can come right back.

At RXN Performance, we look beyond the painful area.

If your hips aren’t moving well, we want to understand why, restore the movement pattern, and then actually build strength and capacity in that new range.

Because mobility without strength isn’t the finish line.

And pain relief without rebuilding isn’t the finish line either.

Our goal is to help you understand your body, build the capacity to handle the demands you place on it, and give you the tools to keep moving forward.

That’s how we create changes that last beyond the treatment table.

You might be exactly the type of person we built RXN Performance for.

You’re in your 30s, 40s, 50s, or 60s.

You’re still active.

You want to lift.
Run.
Train.
Play sports.
Keep up with your family.

But something hurts.

And it’s starting to affect the things you actually care about.

Maybe you’ve tried stretching, rest, adjustments, exercises, or other treatments.

You might feel better for a while...

Then the pain comes right back when you start doing more.

That’s where we come in.

At RXN Performance, we work with active adults who don’t just want temporary relief.

They want to understand what’s going on, address the things that may be contributing to their pain, and build their body back up so they can stay active.

If you want to get your pain under control AND get back to doing what you love, you may be a great fit for RXN.

Your squat sn**ch might not have a technique problem.

You might have a mobility problem limiting your technique.

If you’re struggling to get into a solid receiving position, constantly missing lifts, or feeling like one part of your body is fighting you every time you sn**ch, there’s usually a reason.

Your shoulders need to give you the overhead position.

Your hips need to let you get into the bottom position.

Your ankles need to give you the depth and stability to receive the bar.

When one of those pieces is missing, your body has to find another way to complete the movement.

And that compensation might be the reason your sn**ch never feels quite right.

At RXN Performance, we don’t just tell you to stretch more and hope your mobility improves.

We assess how you move, identify what’s actually limiting you, and build the strength and control to use that range under load.

Because better mobility isn’t about becoming more flexible.

It’s about having the range, control, and capacity to perform when it matters.

If squats are your solution for back pain
 we need to talk.

Squatting isn’t inherently bad for your back.

But doing the same exercise over and over and hoping it eventually fixes the problem isn’t a rehab plan either.

If your back keeps hurting when you squat, train, run, or do the things you love, there’s a reason your body is struggling with that demand.

The answer might involve your hips, ankles, mobility, strength, control, training load, or something else entirely.

That’s why at RXN Performance, we don’t just hand you a list of exercises and tell you to keep doing them.

We figure out what your body is missing, address it, and then progressively build you back up.

Because the goal isn’t to find the perfect exercise to temporarily make your back feel better.

The goal is to build a body that can actually handle what you want to do.

So yes, I’ll keep squatting until you come in.

But I’d rather help you figure out why your back keeps hurting in the first place.

POV: You found a chiropractor who actually wants to keep you active as you age.

Because getting older shouldn’t mean accepting that your body has to slow down.

You should still be able to lift.
Train.
Run.
Play sports.
Travel.
Keep up with your family.

And when something starts hurting, the goal shouldn’t just be to make the pain go away for a few days.

It should be figuring out what’s limiting you, building your strength and capacity, and giving you the tools to keep moving forward.

That’s how we approach care at RXN Performance.

We don’t want you dependent on us forever.

We want to help you build a body you can trust for the long term.

Because the best outcome isn’t needing less chiropractic care.

It’s being able to keep doing the things you love without constantly worrying about your body.

Stop slowing down. Tap the link in bio to book your assessment.

Your back might be hurting because your back is doing too much.

When your hips aren’t moving the way they should, your low back can end up picking up the slack.

And over time, that extra demand can turn into the pain you’re feeling.

That’s why we don’t just focus on the spot that hurts.

At RXN Performance, we look at how your hips, spine, strength, movement, and training all work together to figure out what may actually be driving the problem.

Then we build the mobility, strength, and capacity you need so your back doesn’t have to keep compensating.

Because getting rid of your pain is one thing.

Building a body that can handle the things you actually want to do is the goal.

If your back pain has been hanging around for 3+ months, it’s time to stop guessing.
