More than 30 Southern Botanical team members laced up their running shoes for this yearβs Wiener Run 5K & 10K ππΎ
From stretching at the starting line to walking, running, and enjoying the course around the lake, it was a great opportunity to spend time together outside of work while supporting a local dog rescue.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the event such a success. We love opportunities like these to connect as a team and support our local community.

Most landscapes form part of the backdrop. Others become the destination.
This month, Big Tex Circle is home to "The World is Ours," a public art installation at Fair Park, which is also hosting Dallas's official FIFA Fan Festival. β½οΈ
What many visitors may not realize is that Southern Botanical's Dallas Commercial team helps design and maintain this iconic landscape year-round.
Preparing a landscape for an event of this scale requires consistent maintenance, attention to detail, and a commitment to keeping public spaces looking their best.
With Fair Park welcoming visitors from around the world, we're proud to see one of the spaces our team cares for playing a small role in such a big moment for Dallas.

A little color for your feed πΈ
One of the things we love most about summer gardens is how they change week to week. A bloom that steals the show in June may quietly step aside for something else in July.
Great garden design isn't about having one perfect moment. It's about creating layers of seasonal interest so there's always something to discover.
Grateful for our long-standing partnership with WinterGreen Synthetic Grass LLC, which opened the door to this incredible opportunity.
Our team was originally brought on to provide landscape and irrigation design and installation. Soon after, our scope expanded to include audio/visual, lighting work, and pavers. We assembled a strong subcontractor team, which included Signature Illumination Designs, Smart Home Solutions, and PaverPro.
If you have not visited the Cowboys Golf Club, it is worth seeing for yourself!

Sometimes the best reset is five quiet minutes outside.
The sound of water, a breeze moving through the trees, pollinators moving from bloom to bloom. A reminder to slow down and enjoy the space around you.

How much would it cost your property to lose a mature oak tree?
Now multiply that by an entire stand of oaks.
Oak wilt is one of the most destructive tree diseases affecting North Texas landscapes, and commercial properties face unique risks because trees are often planted in dense groupings with interconnected root systems.
Regular inspections, early diagnosis, and preventative maintenance can help protect tree assets before a small issue becomes a large capital expense.
We break down the warning signs, treatment options, and risk management strategies in our latest blog:

Not all hydrangeas are created equal.
Oakleaf hydrangeas are prized for their bold texture, graceful shape, and year-round interest. They thrive in many North Texas gardens and pair beautifully with mature trees and shade gardens.
