SCAB

(Socialized Contemporary Artists Bureau) is a collective of like-minded artists that practice artist-run activities, predominantly the transitory use of the studio as an exhibition space for the purpose of dialogue and exposure. Birthed from a mutual dissatisfaction with a nonexistent community of artist-run activities in Dallas, SCAB formed with the intention of filling this void. stands firmly behind a DIY attitude, challenging and questioning the activities of the surrounding commercial environment. With the intention of expanding in both scope and numbers, we create a critical dialogue among artists, collectors, critics, curators and gallerists alike, free of the commercial infrastructure.
