Will you help us cover the nation in white flags for lung cancer awareness month?
Order your flag kit for $25 by October 15 and receive 125 flags representing the 125,000 American lives lost to lung cancer each year along with signage to raise awareness and make an impact.
Plant your flags in your yard, at your town hall, a local park, your treatment center, or anywhere in your community to raise awareness that anyone with lungs can get lung cancer and everyone can make a difference.
Visit LUNGevity.org/every-breath-forward to get started. Be sure to share with your friends and family so this November white flags are everywhere!

Each year, more than 1.5 million people in the United States receive CT scan results showing an indeterminate pulmonary nodule, or a small spot on the lung. Most nodules are not cancer, but some can be an early sign of lung cancer. For patients and their doctors, the next step is not always clear.
LUNGevity Foundation and Rising Tide Foundation for Clinical Cancer Research are investing $2 million in two early detection research projects that aim to improve how lung nodules are assessed.
One project, led by Steven Dubinett, MD, at UCLA, will study whether combining advanced CT image analysis with a blood-based test can help estimate the chance that a lung nodule is cancerous. Another project, led by Lecia Sequist, MD, MPH, at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, will evaluate Sybil, an open-source AI model that analyzes CT scans to estimate lung cancer risk.
If successful, this research could help patients receive more timely, accurate information and help medical teams with appropriate follow-up care, additional testing, or early intervention.
