Honored to be nominated and accepted into the 2027 Rodel Fellowship Class. I am looking forward to learning from and collaborating with my colleagues from around the nation. A special thank you to County Commissioner Elba Garcia for the nomination.

Each year, the program selects 24 outstanding state and local-level elected officials, divided among political parties, to come together for a series of three multi-day seminars held over a two-year period. Working with leading scholars as moderators, the fellows read and discuss classic texts dealing with ethical values, democratic principles, and wise and effective leadership.

Over 450 elected leaders have completed the program since its launch in 2005.

Home Improvement & Preservation Program (HIPP) Information Session

Learn how the Home Improvement & Preservation Program (HIPP) can help eligible low- and moderate-income homeowners make necessary repairs to their homes.

Join representatives from Volunteers of America to learn about program eligibility, income requirements, eligible repairs, application guidelines, and how to prepare a complete application.

Eligible homeowners may receive assistance through a forgivable loan of up to $24,000 for qualifying repairs, including HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing repairs, roofing, and accessibility improvements.
