The Retreat ❤️
A whole weekend created just for heart moms—and goodness, it was FUN.
We ate really well, stayed up too late, played games, enjoyed slow mornings, got spoiled with the sweetest details, laughed a lot, and made the most of every minute together.
So much love went into planning this weekend, and getting to finally see it all come to life was pretty surreal.
A beautiful cabin full of heart moms in Broken Bow, with nowhere else we needed to be. Exactly what we hoped The Retreat would be.
We have approximately a million pictures, so here’s a little glimpse into a weekend we loved so much. ❤️

Some weekends are just extra special. ❤️
Our Heart Mom Retreat was everything we hoped it would be—a chance to step away, slow down, and simply be together.
There is something so special about being in a room with other heart moms. No one has to explain the weight of this journey or all that comes with it. There is an understanding that is just there. We watched new friendships form, conversations linger, laughter fill the room, and moms show up for one another with so much patience, kindness, and care.
By our final night together, there was such a sense of peace in the room. It was tender, powerful, and so incredibly special.
This is why community matters. Heart motherhood can feel incredibly isolating, but no heart mom should have to walk it alone.
We are so grateful for every mom who trusted us with this weekend and made it what it was. We already know this is a weekend we’ll carry with us for a long time. ❤️

A full drop-off day at ❤️ We restocked Mom Bags, delivered snack bags to NICU moms in honor of NICU Awareness Month, and brought a snack basket for the CICU inpatient support group.
Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us show up for these families. Your generosity made all three possible!

This month, we’re sharing a NICU mom’s story in honor of NICU Awareness Month. Every family’s journey is different, and we’re grateful to Madison for letting us share a piece of hers. ❤️
"I spent two long months in the hospital waiting for the arrival of my twins. During that time, the doctors and nurses did everything they could to prepare me for what life in the NICU might look like, but no amount of preparation could truly prepare me for the moment it became our reality. When I was finally discharged, I felt a deep mix of emotions—relief and happiness to finally be going home after two months, but an overwhelming sadness knowing I was leaving my babies behind. Walking into the NICU the first day, I was greeted by a familiar face: one of the nurses had been the school nurse at the school where I taught. In that moment, I felt an incredible sense of peace knowing my boys were surrounded by people who would care for them when I couldn’t be there. The doctors and nurses became such an important part of our journey.
They cared not only for my boys, but for me too—keeping us informed, answering our endless questions, celebrating every small milestone, and making sure I was okay along the way. After another month, the day finally came when I got to carry my boys out of the hospital and bring them home. They say NICU babies are some of the strongest little fighters, and looking at my boys now, four years later, I can say with my whole heart that it’s true. They taught me what strength, patience, hope, and gratitude truly look like from the very beginning."
We got to celebrate the grand opening of Walmart ❤️
Project Mom Bags was one of four nonprofits recognized with a donation and check presentation. After the ceremony, we headed inside and stocked up on goodies for our Mom Bags. Our carts were full, and so were our hearts!
Thank you, Walmart 5621, for inviting us to celebrate with you and for helping us care for moms during their child’s hospital stay!
September is NICU Awareness Month, and you all showed up for NICU moms in such a sweet way. ❤️
Thanks to the incredible response to our snack cart wishlist, we had enough snacks to put together special bags for 30 moms in the NICU, each with a handwritten note.
Thank you to everyone who donated! We’re so grateful you helped make this happen!

So what exactly goes inside The Mini? 🤍
When we started creating our NICU Mini Mom Bags, we knew we wanted to keep the same heart behind our original Mom Bags — just in a smaller package.
Every item was chosen with a NICU mom in mind. Postpartum essentials, personal care items and a few little comforts for those long days (and nights) in the hospital.
Swipe for a peek at a few things going inside. →
And if you’d like to help us fill our first Minis, you can shop the items directly from our NICU Amazon Wishlist! 🤍
