The DAWG Project

This sweetest-ever Husky mix came to us from South Texas and has been an amazing mom to her three fat puppies! Elsie's health declined as she cared for her puppies and she will need some intensive vet care! Please donate today! Every dollar counts!

We took this mom, Elsie, and her three pups from the Valley a few weeks ago. Mom is super sweet, HW positive, and is done with feeding her chunky girls.
We'd love to find a separate foster home either for Elsie, or her three puppies, so she can start her recovery. Right now, we're focusing on gaining weight, then spay, then HW treatment.
Puppies are about 7 weeks and have their first vaccines, and are eating well.
Puppies will be ready to go to homes by first week of October.

EARLY GIVING IS OPEN! Help The DAWG Project Save Lives! 🐶
North Texas Giving Day may officially land on September 17, 2026, but you don’t have to wait to make a lifesaving difference. Early giving has officially started!
Our shelters are overwhelmed, and vulnerable dogs across Dallas-Fort Worth urgently need someone to step up. At The DAWG Project, we work around the clock to pull at-risk dogs from municipal facilities, provide critical vetting, food, and foster care so the dogs can be matched with their forever families.
When you support us, you are saying YES to a second chance. YES to safety, healing, and love.
✨ Why give now?
Thanks to the Communities Foundation of Texas, all platform and transaction fees are covered, meaning 100% of your donation goes directly to caring for our rescue dogs!
