Proof that love is a team sport. 🏀🌸
For this Dallas wedding, we wanted to take something personal to the couple and turn it into a design moment that felt completely unexpected. Basketball became part of the story, incorporated into the custom seating chart alongside overflowing pink and coral florals, trailing greenery and black-and-gold details.
And then guests walked into that reception. ✨
A dramatic floral installation filled with layers of red, pink, peach and greenery became the centerpiece of the room, surrounded by candlelight, gold chairs and tables designed to feel warm, romantic and full of life.
At SB Events Co., we believe the best wedding design doesn’t come from recreating something you’ve already seen on Pinterest. It comes from figuring out what makes a couple them and finding a beautiful, sometimes unexpected way to bring that story into the celebration.
Your hobbies can become décor. Your cultures can influence the experience. Your personalities can shape the room. Even a basketball can belong in the flowers. 😉

Sometimes the most important thing you can do for your business is to see it from a different perspective so you can see it clearly again.
The WIPA National Conference gave me space to think beyond the next event, deadline or decision and reflect on the kind of company, leader and life I’m actually building.
❤️ One of my biggest reminders: your vision is allowed to evolve.
The business you imagined when you started doesn’t have to be the business you build forever. Teams change. Goals get bigger. Priorities shift. You learn what fulfills you, what is sustainable and where you can serve people exceptionally well.
And as our industry embraces more technology and AI, I’m equally convinced that the things that make exceptional events exceptional will remain deeply human: taste, trust, empathy, discernment, hospitality and the ability to read a room.
Because in luxury weddings and live events, things will change. Plans will shift. Perfection isn’t always possible.
But how we respond matters.
I left WIPA National Conference with new ideas, renewed clarity and an even deeper appreciation for this industry and the people building within it.
