Swan Strings returns to The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth for another evening of live music, art, and community—this time featuring Jess Garland, who is also making her return to The Modern. 🎶✨

A singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, experimental harpist, and multi-disciplinary artist, Garland brings her distinctive sound and creative practice back to the museum for a special performance presented by Swan Strings. Blending harp, voice, unconventional sounds, repetition, and atmospheric textures, her work creates immersive soundscapes that move between ambient, experimental, and folk traditions.

Join us as we continue creating space for live music and artistic expression while connecting North Texas audiences through music and the arts.

This Friday, join us for Music Lounge as we celebrate another incredible year of Girls Rock Dallas Summer Camp with a special performance by the incomparable SassyBlack.

We’re gathering to celebrate another successful summer of empowering young musicians through Girls Rock Dallas while welcoming one of today’s most visionary artists to the Music Lounge stage.

🎸 Bring a new or gently used instrument for our Swan Strings Instrument Drive and help expand access to free music education for young musicians across North Texas.

🎶 Music Lounge returns with SassyBlack! 🎶

Join us for a special evening as we celebrate another incredible year of Girls Rock Dallas Summer Camp with a performance by the incomparable SassyBlack.

A true multifaceted artist, SassyBlack is a singer, songwriter, producer, DJ, and curator whose genre-defying work has been featured on Adult Swim, BET’s Twenties, TNT’s CLAWS, and the Michelle Obama Spotify Playlist Vol. 1, with acting appearances on HBO’s Vinyl and Comedy Central’s Broad City. A seasoned international performer, she is currently developing her first musical, Emerald Jett, commissioned by the 5th Avenue Theatre, alongside her fourth studio album, HouseCat. She has also served as Music Director for Microsoft’s flagship events and recently completed a two-year commission with the Kennedy Center’s Cartography Project.

Before the show, help us celebrate the campers who spent the week writing songs, forming bands, and discovering their voices through Girls Rock Dallas. It’s the perfect way to close out an inspiring month of music, creativity, and community.

🎸 We’ll also be collecting donated instruments to support Swan Strings’ free music education programs and help get more instruments into the hands of young musicians.

Join us for a special live performance at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth featuring Brianne Sargent.

Brianne will perform as part of Rashid Johnson: A Poem for Deep Thinkers, the museum’s landmark exhibition exploring Black identity, philosophy, history, and community through nearly 90 works spanning painting, sculpture, film, installation, and sound.

Her performance takes place within Johnson’s Stage, where live music becomes an integral part of the exhibition, transforming the gallery into a space for reflection, conversation, and community.

Fresh off the release of her latest solo album, In April, Brianne continues to push the boundaries of experimental composition, blending electronic production, jazz, ambient textures, and improvisation into deeply personal sonic landscapes.

Released in May 2026, the album represents what she describes as “a spectrum of my producer thumb,” marking both the beginning and end of a creative cycle.
