My entrepreneur group spent lunch exploring the Tin District-One of Dallas‘s best kept secrets and a fascinating creative community filled with world renowned artists working in just about every medium imaginable.
Who knew all this creativity was tucked away right here in Dallas?
I love discovering the unexpected corners of our city-and today I may have been slightly more interested in what was hanging on the walls than what I was wearing😂.

She has done it again. Quiet, thoughtful and beautifully written. The kind of book of that lingers with you a bit after you close it.

I had no idea how fascinating Quill boxes were into learning how they made them here in Northern Michigan💕
Created by Odawa artist, these beautiful boxes are made using porcupine quills-often gathered from porcupines found as roadkill-and then carefully cleaned, sorted, softened, and worked into intricate designs.
What looks like a delicate little box is actually hours of patience, tradition, artistry, and storytelling
It is one of those rare crafts that makes you stop and appreciate, not only the beauty of the finish piece, but the history and hands behind it. Northern Michigan never stops teaching me something new.🤍
