Another year has passed, 2004 I know you was declared on January 4th because i found you early hours of the morning on January 4th but I do know you took your own life on January 1st......
21 years ago it's truly unbelievable that time has gone so fast......
I can unfortunately remember every step of that night, finding my best friends body after he took his own life with gun shot to his own head.
I have done everything I could to keep his name alive in a sport we both loved so much, but Chris (the sledgehammer) Ballard was the original
Of course people loved to see his exciting fights
And knockouts in devastating fashion, but for me I miss his friendship, loyalty, understanding, and def his sense of humor!!!! No body made me laugh like Chris did. We had many highs and many lows together,
We lived together
We trained together
We worked together
We fought together
In and outside the ring.......
I added moma said knock you out music as that was Chris's entrance music
No one rocked it better than Chris.
Chris truly had agood heart, and was a very loyal friend.
I miss u my friend
And I hope I made you proud........
I had many conversations with Chris while I was road running at 5am or 2am in pitch darkness on my own, in fight camp evan then I could here his loud voice
With a big laugh at the end.
