I don’t post many training videos anymore. Unless it’s business-related, I’m not very connected to social media these days.
But just because I’m not posting every five minutes doesn’t mean the work isn’t still being done.
I turn 46 this year, and physically, I feel better than I did throughout the final five years of my fighting career. Since retiring, I’ve invested heavily in my health—strength training, BPC-157, TB-500, ice baths, sauna, breathwork, dry needling and recovery.
After more than 20 years of fighting, my body feels fantastic. If somebody offered me a fight, I could be ready within two or three months.
But why?
Who truly wants to see a 46-year-old man fight? Is it because they want what’s best for the athlete, or because they’re fascinated by watching an older veteran try again—possibly hoping to see him lose?
I had over 20 years to prove what I could do in my prime. I fought around the world, tested myself at the highest levels and gave everything to the sport. I can walk away knowing I honored it.
Many athletes struggle after retirement because they never planned what came next. Their identity was being a fighter. When the crowds disappear, they don’t only miss fighting—they miss the attention and recognition.
I will never allow myself to lose purpose.
Before retiring, I was already building my next chapter. Today, my restaurant, speakeasy, commercial properties, fight shows, gyms, farm, businesses and, most importantly, my family are my priorities.
Fighting dominated enough of my life. It’s a selfish sport, and eventually you must give that time back to your wife, children and the people who supported your dreams.
I still receive fight offers, and there’s money to be made. But not every opportunity deserves a yes. Walking away doesn’t make you less of a fighter.
It means you found a new fight.
I trained before social media existed. I train every day now, and I’ll continue long after social media is gone.
I don’t train for likes or attention.
I train for my health.
I train for discipline.
I train for my demons.
I train for my life.
Life isn’t a sprint—it’s a marathon. What matters is how yo
There is a feeling like no other owning land, I’ve owned and lived all over the world, but owning land is a different feeling, a certain level of freedom that’s like no other, connected to your land and to GOD. I am very blessed my wife and I have worked relentlessly hard for over 16years to provide this life for us and our beautiful daughter, life can get very fast at times, but it is truly beautiful to stop look around and breath and just feel grateful for what GOD has provided and continues to have his hand on our shoulders!
Just in case some of you forgot!!!!!
