PCPC Missions

We had an incredible group of PCPC women travel to Bogota, Colombia on a short-term trip a few weeks ago! They helped put on a Women’s Conference for Presbyterian churches in the area and surrounding- partnering with MTW missionaries, Peter and Lauren Dishman. Each of these women contributed their specific gifts in helping lead the conference, and it was a huge success. God was glorified, relationships were built and strengthened, women were encouraged, and the gospel was proclaimed!

Last week we had a team travel to Cartegena, Colombia to prepare to send a group of PCPC high schoolers back in June! It was an amazing trip. We are excited about the work God is doing in Cartagena and are grateful for the people and organizations we get to partner in the gospel with!

📣Please join us from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Wednesday in room 8 (Lower Level) to pray for our missionaries! This is a great opportunity to connect with our missionaries by learning what they are doing as you are praying for them. Feel free to bring your lunch and eat while we pray.  Booklets will be available for you.

..with the coldest temperatures of the season arriving in the next few days, two Dallas agencies that serve the homeless are banding together to protect thousands of vulnerable individuals from the harsh, potentially fatal temperatures…

Austin Street Center, one of Dallas' largest 24/7 emergency shelters, and OurCalling, Dallas' largest daytime outreach center and street outreach ministry, are joining forces to open Fair Park's Grand Place Building as an Inclement Weather Shelter. Grand Place is large enough to accommodate over 900 homeless individuals...

Austin Street Center’s team will conduct intake at the Inclement Weather Shelter, and OurCalling’s team will run the day-to-day operations of the temporary shelter, providing meals, security, and guest care...

To make certain homeless individuals are alerted in a timely fashion, OurCalling will use its Homeless Emergency Broadcast System to send text messages instructing them to head to the Inclement Weather Shelter.

The Connector Bus, a transportation unit operated by Austin Street Center and supported by numerous homeless agencies in town will run free-of-charge transit to the Inclement Weather Shelter - stopping at pre-determined local homeless agencies for pick up. OurCalling will also step up its Search & Rescue efforts, going deep into the woods and under overpasses to find and take individuals to the shelter...
