Ruth Rye, Realtor
Celebrating 30 years' experience in real estate and home renovation. I am thrilled to be back on the Eastern Shore, where I grew up and have so many friends!
Real estate is my passion, and nothing is more fun for me than matching the right house with the right person. I have served as president of the Mobile Historic Homes Tour and the Historic Murphy District Association, as well as chair of the HMDA Homes Tour. As past president of Restore Mobile, I have worked to save and restore historic houses and structures throughout the city, and, with my daughter, have renovated more than 40 older homes in Oakleigh, Old Dauphinway and Midtown. I am a graduate of the Mobile Historic Development Commission's Preservation Leadership program and hold the designations of GRI and CRS. Now based on the Eastern Shore, I can list, sell or show any property in Mobile or Baldwin County. Let me help you find your perfect home and/or sell your home today!

Did you know that September is National Honey Month? Here’s a great recipe to try!
Ingredients:
• 4 packages biscuit dough
• 2 c. light or dark brown sugar
• 1½ c. butter, melted
• 2 tbsp. honey
• ½ c. cinnamon sugar mixture
• Walnuts, if desired
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F, and grease a Bundt pan with nonstick spray.
2. Cut each biscuit into quarters, and then coat in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Layer the pieces into the greased pan, making sure they are evenly distributed.
3. In a saucepan, melt together the brown sugar, butter, and honey. Continue to stir until a slightly runny glaze forms, and quickly pour over the biscuit pieces.
4. Bake for 30–35 minutes, until the biscuits are golden brown.
5. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes. Carefully place a large plate or serving tray over the pan, and flip over the Bundt pan. Pull the pan away from the bread ring carefully, avoiding the hot glaze. Top with walnuts, if desired.
