What can caring for dogs with brain tumors teach us about treating cancer in people?

At UC Davis, researchers are studying that connection while working to improve care for both.

Deborah Austin, president of the Cal Aggie Alumni Association, is my latest guest on Face to Face with Chancellor May.

One of Austin’s priorities as CAAA board president at UC Davis is to increase alumni engagement. She said she wants to better understand what alumni need and how the hundreds of thousands of Aggies around the world can support one another.

The alumni association is also piloting an alumni-to-alumni mentoring program, creating opportunities for graduates to connect with others who can offer career advice, perspective and guidance at different stages of professional life.

Alumni are essential to our success, so I really applaud the activities Deborah is starting.
