Join us at International House on Tuesday September 29, 2026 for a conversation about two of the world’s most significant, ongoing conflict zones with leading scholars of war and disability, Professors Sarah Phillips and Sona Kazemi. Join the DHI and Shields Library for a conversation with Professor Ryan Lee Cartwright (UCD American Studies) about his book, “Peculiar Places”. The event will feature a conversation on the intertwining of race, disability, and queerness in rural America, and will be followed by a reception. For those with an interest in disability studies, the event will also be an opportunity to connect and converse with others on campus who share similar research interests.
