Whew, Dayton... y'all sure knew how to kick up some dust! 🤠🔥
The inaugural Dayton Black Rodeo wasn't just an event—it was a whole rodeo-sized experience. From the bucking action in the arena and kids loving the petting zoo, to the carnival rides, shopping with vendors, line dancing, and cutting up at the concert... this one is going in the history books.
The boots were stepping.
The horses were running.
The crowd was rocking.
And the memories? Priceless. 🐎✨

🐎💨 The horses were flying, the bulls were bucking, and the cowboys came ready to compete.
From barrel racing and relay races to bull riding, steer wrestling, and bronc riding, the inaugural Dayton Black Rodeo delivered nonstop action from the first gate to the final ride.
A special thank you to Latting Rodeo Productions Inc. for bringing an authentic, professional rodeo experience to Dayton and showcasing the skill, courage, and tradition that make rodeo culture so special.

Before there was a rodeo, there was a vision.
Ms. Dawn Holloway dreamed of creating an event that would celebrate the legacy of Black cowboys and cowgirls, bring families together, and showcase the spirit of our community, all while raising scholarship funds to invest in the next generation of youth. On June 20, that vision became reality.
We send a special appreciation to Mayor Shenise Turner-Sloss and Commissioner Darius Beckham for recognizing Dawn Holloway as the Ohio Queen of Southern Soul and for officially proclaiming June 20 as Dayton Black Rodeo Day.
We also extend a special thank you to Derrick L. Forward, President of the Dayton NAACP, for the proclamation recognizing Dawn Holloway Day.
History was made. A legacy was honored. And to everyone who joined us:
