Rotary Club of Dayton could not have chosen a more deserving recipient to bestow the Irv Bieser Peace Award upon than the Hon. Walter H. Rice. Judge Rice has made an incredible mark on Dayton and the judiciary, and I imagine his retirement-celebration tour will continue for many more weeks and months to come!

Congratulations Judge Rice on your next adventure!! ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€โš–๏ธ๐Ÿ“š

Twenty-five years ago, on September 11, 2001, our nation experienced a tragedy that forever changed us. On this 25th anniversary, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, honor the courage of first responders and ordinary citizens who rushed to help others, and recognize families who have carried the weight of that day for a quarter century.

I also remember what happened in the days that followed. In the midst of unimaginable grief, Americans came together. We looked out for our neighbors. We supported strangers. We were reminded that even in our darkest moments, compassion, courage, and unity can make us stronger. Those values still matter deeply to me today - as a member of this community, as a probate attorney, and as a judicial candidate.

Today, may we honor those we lost not only by remembering their names and their stories, but by carrying on the spirit of service, kindness, and unity that brought our country together.

Never Forget. United We Stand. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ I am PROUD to have earned the endorsement of Ohio Pride PAC ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ

Equality under the law is not abstract. It is not a legal term of art. It is a day-to-day reality: our neighbors, coworkers, friends, and families being able to live their lives with dignity and security, knowing they have the same rights and protections as every other citizen. Leadership from the bench means applying the law fairly, protecting the rights of every person equally, and treating every case with the same fairness, compassion, and integrity.

Building Bridges, Inc. ๐Ÿซฑ๐Ÿผโ€๐Ÿซฒ๐Ÿพ Candidates for Judge @ Mayberry Market ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒป

We spent a beautiful morning volunteering for a wonderful nonprofit that provides court-involved juveniles with work experience, enhanced skills, and build self-esteem in the process. People who serve know that service goes beyond 9 to 5, well into board service, volunteerism, and community activism.

This time we have together allows us to forge a bond of friendship, through laughs and fire, that will certainly outlive November 3. And, we got a little shopping done too ๐Ÿ˜‰

๐ŸšจENDORSEMENT ALERT๐Ÿšจ

Dayton City Commissioner Darius Beckham has endorsed Cassandra Rice for Probate Judge!

Often, a voterโ€™s most important asset is the equity theyโ€™ve invested in their home. Real estate can be the foundation upon which generational wealth is built. Yet, because of its value and complexity, real estate can also be one of the most difficult assets to manage during estate administration or guardianship proceedings.

In earning this endorsement, I pledge to work with the Dayton, Ohio - City Government and other community stakeholders to develop strategies and solutions that educate homeowners about ownership transitions at death, find ways to make estate administrations less complicated, and develop resources for the community when there is no family member or loved one available to take over a property or initiate probate.

These efforts will help protect not only the value of the asset, but also the stability, vitality, and future of the surrounding neighborhood.
