SHE-Roe Rising is an 18-week high school leadership and storytelling program that empowers young women to discover their voice, build confidence, and lead with purpose. Through guided storytelling, public speaking, leadership development, and personal growth activities, participants transform their lived experiences into powerful messages of resilience and hope. Each student develops and presents a signature story while strengthening communication, self-awareness, and civic engagement. SHE-Roe Rising equips young women with the skills, confidence, and courage to become leaders who inspire positive change in their schools, communities, and beyond.
Today we are proud to introduce another powerful voice from the SHE-Roe Mega Event—Latoya Dowdell-Burger.
Latoya’s story is one of service, strategy, creativity, and faith. As a U.S. Army veteran, educator, media personality, entrepreneur, and community leader, she continues to show us what it looks like to lead with purpose and commitment to others. 
Her SHE-Roe Story reminds us that leadership is not just about titles—it’s about impact, resilience, and answering the call to serve.

As our SHE-Roe of Spirituality, Dr. Hunt opened her heart and reminded us what it looks like to speak truth, heal out loud, and lead with purpose. Her story is a powerful example of what happens when women choose honesty over silence and strength over fear.
