Allowing a slower pace for the morning no matter the idea of how the morning looks to you is a piece of advice I tell all my couples. Spend it with the ones you love.

An important tip: allow time in your day for us to photograph and create art with your details. Tell us all things details when we ask!

We can’t photograph what we don’t know about. If there’s a detail you spent extra time, thought, or money creating, let us know so we can make sure it gets documented.

Because years from now, those little details will bring the whole day rushing back.

Imagine being a stem on a full bloomed hydrangea bush. You’re blended and interconnected with each and every color. You lean back taking in the floral aroma that swirls around your body.

Martha’s Vineyard has a way with letting you fall in love with every step you take while on the island.

At a pier the ocean air breezes on by. The fresh seafood from the restaurant on the corner draws you in as it’s close to lunch time.

Even the ducks have way of beauty about them as they paddle around the boats. A little family with babies staying in a line, while others swim around with the fish.

Each and every hydrangea blooming in a different color no matter what corner you turn.

While the New England style home has a certain look, the littlest detail for each home tells their own story.

Being notorious for loving color, the neutrals and soft fabrics that Lauren and Mike sported for their engagement had me in a swirl. Then upon delivery, Lauren reminded me. Her response to one of her favorites, “The colors in this are unreal”.

The crisp greens as the light weaves through the trees, the golden hue from the sun setting hitting the Cincinnati Art Museum or the pops of florals in the background showed me that there was true coloring in each and every photo.

Looking forward to their summer wedding next year.

Allowing time in your day for portraits is possible. When you enjoy art as much as these two do, carving out a pit stop for some scenic places in your city is easy.

During our consultations, it was always known art was key. When it came to their timeline, we started with key moments that were important to them. The expertise and guidance for these portraits were allowed because of the time we set. No rushing, running around or trying to take a bunch of photos. All because they had ample time in the day to allow not only the photos be taken but time for me as an artist, create.

One thing we do with couples is listen, and educate. Every wedding is different, every couple is different.
