Say hello to Melissa!

Melissa brings 23 years of clinical experience in the dental field. She was also a dental assisting instructor and a grader for the CDA exam in Ohio. She graduated from the Sinclair EFDA Program in 2009.

Her dream came true when she became an instructor for the EFDA Program here at Sinclair. Melissa loves dentistry and especially enjoys helping others fulfill their dream of becoming an EFDA. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience with the next generation of dental professionals.

When she is not working, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and son. Her husband is also in the dental field and is a dentist. Her son plays hockey, and she is proudly his biggest fan! 🩷🦷🩷

Introducing Maria York! Maria brings more than 25 years of clinical dental experience and a passion for education to her role as EFDA faculty at Sinclair Community College. A graduate of The Ohio State University, Maria also earned her Master of Education in Higher Education Leadership from Franklin University and her EFDA licensure at Sinclair Community College.

Maria has been teaching at Sinclair for seven years and enjoys sharing her clinical experience with students while helping them build the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to succeed in the dental profession. She also works as a Professional Product Educator for Waterpik, providing lunch-and-learn presentations and product education to dental professionals in the Dayton region.

Outside of dentistry, Maria and her husband are the proud parents of seven children, one grandchild on the way, and enjoy life on their cattle and grain farm in western Ohio.

We also wish her a very happy birthday today! 🎂🦷🩷
