Found Yoga
Found Yoga is independent and inspired, kind and creative, balanced and bolstering yoga. Found Yoga offers classes that integrate heart, mind, body, and breath.
Available in person and online. When Alisa *Found Yoga*, she discovered a spark that quickly lit her up. At the age of forty-two she was astonished that at yoga class, people her own age were practicing backbends and headstands. They were moving and flowing with the simple beauty of dancers. But they did not seem to be there just for the cool poses. They seemed to KNOW things. There seemed to be something beyond the physical rigors of the practice which drew them there. So Alisa kept going and practicing. It was a turning point when she discovered that yoga poses are merely a means of understanding yourself and your connection in the universe. She is still going and practicing and still discovering. In 2020 she put discovery into warp speed and completed a 200-hour alignment-based yoga teacher training course. Alisa comes from years of experience designing interiors for corporate offices, designing and rolling out retail banking establishments and various hospitality and workplace venues. As much as art and design are a part of her life, so now is yoga. It is the creativity, personal connection, and fulfillment of offering her unique gifts in teaching that feeds her soul. As an Enneagram 9 (look it up!), she is constantly seeking harmony. This carries over into her teaching style just as it does in her design work. She is receptive to what her students may need and safely and gently guides them. She is known to create balanced classes that integrate heart, mind, body, and breath.

What if what you need this fall isn't another thing to add to your calendar… but a few days where you don't have to do it all?
If you've been taking care of everyone else, keeping up with work and family, navigating changes, making decisions, and wondering when you're going to have a little space to just be…
Maybe this is your time.
Soul Reset is a 4-day women's yoga + hiking retreat in the North Carolina mountains, created for women who want to slow down, breathe deeper, move their bodies, spend time in nature, and reconnect with themselves.
We'll hike through the mountains.
Practice yoga inside and outside.
Eat beautiful, chef-prepared vegetarian meals.
Rest. Laugh. Wander. Nap.
Gather around the fire.
Experience a sound bath and Yoga Nidra.
And have plenty of unstructured time to simply be a person—not a caretaker, employee, partner, mother, daughter, or the one who keeps everything running.
Just you.
And a small circle of women doing the same.
Only 2 spots remain for October 15–18.
You can come on your own or bring a friend. You don't have to know anyone else coming.
Also, if you don't feel like doing every yoga practice or both hikes, you can skip. While the activities are meant to support your social, emotional and physical health, you have full agency to just BE.
You just have to be ready for a little less doing and a lot more being.

✨ Soul Reset Retreat Contributor Highlight #3: Shanon Blair ✨
We’re so excited to have Shanon Blair joining us as our on-site chef for the entire retreat!
Shanon came highly recommended, and from our very first conversation, it was clear why. She has been an absolute joy to work with—and I had the best time co-creating our retreat menu with her. Her ideas for each meal (including delicious, nourishing packed lunches for our hiking days!) were fantastic.
Good food is such an important part of a retreat experience, and I already know Shanon is going to make our time together even more special.
Can’t wait to finally meet you in person, Shanon!

This is the 2nd retreat contributor we are highlighting 🎉 for Rising Hart of Guided Heart Wellness
One of the most memorable parts of retreat isn’t always something you can see—it’s something you can feel.
When my retreat partner Kate Mosley and I were planning our retreat at Kaluna Farm Retreat, we were looking for someone to lead a sound bath.
I first met Rising teaching yoga at a Kaluna brunch event, and immediately loved her grounded, calm, thoughtful approach. We hired her for our retreat!
Then I experienced her sound bath on our retreat—and wow. It was beautiful, intuitive, deeply relaxing, and soul-stirring. A rainstorm rolled through that evening, adding a little thunderous percussion to the experience. Our retreaters still talk about it.
So, of course, I asked Rising to join us for Soul Reset.
On our first night together, she’ll guide us through a sound bath after dinner—a chance to land, unwind, quiet the noise, and begin turning inward.
A beautiful way to begin our retreat and reconnect to heart and soul.

I like to see women supporting women. So for this retreat I'll be highlighting the women who are contributing to our retreat.
The first highlight is for Lisa Garcia. As owner/operator of Indigo Nature Retreat, she makes sure you have everything you need. She answered a bajillion of my emails, provided extra resources when I had questions, and has been so welcoming.
Her vision for her retreat center is warm, vibrant, and clear, allowing connection to nature to be front and center of everyone's experience.
I know she will support us well as we arrive, on October 15th (7 weeks away)!

This Friday night, join me for gentle movement and conscious rest, also known as Yoga Nidra.
To start, I will guide you through gentle movement and stretching to allow your body to release tension you've taken on through the week. Then you'll get super-comfortable and experience guided breathwork, a slowly paced body scan, and guided visualization. You will have several opportunities to tap into your heart and your inner wisdom as you travel the twilight edge of wakefulness and sleep.
My own personal experiences with Yoga Nidra have remained with me and have each illuminated or uncovered helpful information about my path, what is important to me, or what is in my heart - all things I've already known but may have forgotten. These insights have allowed me to know myself better, to access creativity, to feel connected, and to unravel decades of thought patterns.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in and bring your mat. Optionally, bring a weighted eye pillow, a pen and journal, and a water bottle. The studio has plenty of bolsters, blankets, and blocks.

Happy Independence Day! These are quotes from the class I taught today, from two great Americans, Jimi Hendrix and Mark Twain.
I am happy to celebrate our freedom from tyranny. But many do not have the freedom to be who they are for fear of consequences. I am hopeful that things are changing with new generations. On a recent walk in my neighborhood, I witnessed a father encouraging his young son to repeat this mantra, “I am better than no one else.” That gives me hope. That is change. The good we want to do in the world truly does start at home.

PROFOUND RELAXATION ...
I yearn for this. Maybe you do too.
True relaxation is harder to find than ever.
Juggling stressors of work, family, or financial pressures, and a constant stream of digital notifications keeps our nervous system on active alert. Stress levels remain high, and many people even feel guilty when they're not being productive.
True, meaningful relaxation is allowing yourself to slow down and simply be. When truly relaxed, in a state of conscious rest, our brains are more susceptible to the positive intentions we have for ourselves. Rediscovery and realignment like this is the fuel we need to keep going.
Rest isn't a reward. It's a necessity.
Come, join me at this conscious rest experience: Breathe & Be.
FRIDAY, JULY 10, 8-9:30PM
It starts with gentle movement to relieve muscular tension. Then we find soothing stretches that are held. Lastly, we settle into our most comfortable resting position for a guided journey into conscious rest - Yoga Nidra. We'll explore intention-setting, breath, the most unhurried body scan, sensory consciousness, and visualization.
Bring your yoga mat and anything to support extreme comfort (a weighted eye pillow or eye mask, warm tea, a favorite pillow ... Form Yoga has bolsters, plenty of yoga blankets and blocks). Wear your most comfortable clothes for gentle movement and rest. Optionally, bring your journal and pen to capture insights while they are fresh.
