First day of school in Oakhurst is in the books! 📚🍎

This morning we handed out free breakfast burritos, and this afternoon we welcomed everyone back with free pulled pork sandwiches for an after-school snack.

The kids grabbed waters and juice, the parents enjoyed a cold beer, and best of all, we got to meet so many awesome families from the neighborhood.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by, said hello, and made the first day of school so much fun. We loved catching up with familiar faces and meeting a few new ones. We can’t wait to see y’all again soon at Ford’s BBQ! ❤️🐖🔥

Jameson has been with us since he was legally old enough to work. Legally. We checked. Probably. 😂

Since then, he’s done damn near every job at Ford’s BBQ — dishes, serving, kitchen, pitmaster, catering huge events, delivery driver, plumber, handyman… you name it. At this point, we’re not entirely sure what his actual job title is. 😂 Throw Jameson a task and you know one thing: it’s handled.

In a few weeks he’s heading off to college, and Ford’s BBQ truly won’t be the same without him. We’re proud as hell of you, bud — even if we’re not ready to lose our best employee. ❤️

We’re already crossing our fingers he comes back in October for the Decatur BBQ Festival. He’s been there every year since the beginning, helping run the show.

Happy 19th, Jameson! We love you, appreciate you, and we’re gonna miss the hell outta you. 🔥🐷🎂
