Now let’s discuss how to act when a funeral procession comes through, because some of y’all see a procession and start looking for a merger opportunity. 👀

🚦 At intersections, the procession has the right-of-way. Your light turning green does NOT mean squeeze between the family. That lil opening ain’t an invitation Twin‼️

🚫 Don’t cut through or interrupt the procession unless a traffic officer directs you.

🚗 On a two-lane highway, don’t attempt to pass vehicles in the procession. That 10-piece can wait.

💡 Don’t turn on your headlights and join just to skip traffic. Suddenly becoming a strangers fourth cousin (because you’re late for a date with somebody who’s really not that into you) is WILD. 😒

🛑 Georgia law does NOT require everybody on every road to automatically pull over and stop. Stopping out of respect is a Southern tradition, but you must yield when required and follow officers’ directions. Police-escorted processions have the right-of-way on streets and highways.

If you pull over out of respect, do it safely. Please don’t slam on your brakes and create an emergency.

A family is saying goodbye. Give them room, patience, and dignity. Your destination will still be there. 🖤
