Iām proud to serve alongside an administration that puts DeKalb residents firstāand that commitment was on full display as Lorraine Cochran-Johnson announced a major step forward for our workforce.
DeKalb County is increasing its minimum wage to $19 per hourāa meaningful investment in the people who keep our county running every day. This increase will benefit more than 1,400 employees and includes efforts to address salary compression, ensuring experience and years of service are properly recognized.
This is about more than wagesāitās about dignity, stability, and creating real pathways for our workforce to grow and thrive. Grateful for CEO Cochran-Johnsonās leadership in moving this work forward.
