DEF is committed to supporting Decatur’s students - not only by providing opportunities but also by removing obstacles to their success. We were honored to connect with and offer some support to the Chavez Salas family during an unimaginably difficult experience - and as always, we are grateful for the generosity of this community. DEF loves Volunteers! We were happy to attend the 2026 Emory University Community Learning and Social Medicine Community Engagement Day last week. At the event we got to reconnect with our 2 volunteers from last year, Jack Hester and Neha Marupudi. They did a stellar job helping with our Speaker Series!
