Today was a typical Saturday at the ranch… up early feeding the animals, then off to the hardware store to pick up supplies for our Healing Garden. 🪴

After two mind-numbing hours of trying to figure out the best way to hang the grow lights, we finally admitted defeat and called it a day. 😂

On our way back to the farm, we noticed a young man hitchhiking. We stopped and asked where he was headed.

He replied, “Ma’am, I’m in the National Guard. I have orders to fly out at 9:00 p.m. I’m from Oklahoma. The person who was supposed to take me to DFW Airport backed out last night, so I’ve been walking since then. I made it to Decatur.”

Without hesitation, we said, “Jump in! Let’s grab a bite to eat, then we’ll get you to the airport.”

During the drive, we had a wonderful conversation, shared some laughs, and before long, he made it to his destination.

As we said our goodbyes, he asked, “How could I ever repay you?”

At the exact same time, we both answered, “Pay it forward.”

We wished him safe travels, handed him our card, and told him, “When you get back, if you ever need anything, give us a call.”

Sometimes the greatest blessings come from the unexpected stops along the road. We never know who God places in our path, but we do know that kindness has a way of coming full circle.

Be blessed by blessing others. ❤️🇺🇸
