✨ What a fabulous morning at the newly renovated Point Mallard Park Event Center in Decatur! It was great to see this beautiful new space filled with leaders from across North Alabama.

Presented by Launch Regional Partnership, the event brought together communities from 13 counties across North Alabama to strengthen partnerships, work together, and speak with one voice on the issues and opportunities shaping our region.
There was plenty to hear about, including an update from Col. Raymond Ruscoe, U.S. Space Command Deputy Director for the Redstone Transition Team, on the arrival of U.S. Space Command in North Alabama and what this exciting development means for our region. 🚀
The morning also included a very special tribute to the late John Seymour, former President & CEO of the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce John was posthumously presented with the inaugural Spirit of Regionalism Award, which will carry his name moving forward and honor others who share his commitment to regional collaboration. ❤️
It was an honor to capture such a meaningful morning — celebrating a new chapter for the Point Mallard Event Center and a room full of leaders focused on the future of North Alabama!

Exciting update! Yesterday morning we celebrated the official groundbreaking of South Brook, North Alabama’s newest neighborhood. At this unique moment, we came together to celebrate the significant milestone, honor every individual and group who has helped make South Brook possible, and make exciting announcements about the South Brook Builders Guild: Built by Bryan, DH Morris Homes, Rochford Realty & Construction, and Storyline Homes. Each builder brings a unique perspective and a shared commitment to creating homes and a neighborhood designed to stand the test of time.

And now, there’s a new place to follow along.

A NEW CHAPTER FOR DECATUR! 🌳🏡

Today marked an exciting milestone as South Brook officially broke ground, beginning construction on an approximately 80-acre mixed-use neighborhood at the former Decatur Country Club.

The first phase will feature homes by Built by Bryan, DH Morris Homes, Rochford Realty & Construction, and Storyline Homes, bringing new housing options and investment to our community.

But South Brook is about more than homes. The vision is a walkable, vibrant neighborhood where people can live, work, shop, dine and connect—with neighborhood retail, restaurants, offices, parks, trails and gathering spaces all part of the plan. 🌿🚶‍♂️🏘️

It was great to be part of this exciting groundbreaking hosted by Land Innovations, the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce and the City of Decatur.

As Chamber President & CEO Reggie Ash said, developments like South Brook help create smart growth, strengthen community, support healthy lifestyles and open new economic opportunities for Decatur.

The future is being built right here in Decatur! Exciting times ahead!
