Beautiful native blossoms in my garden, but I haven’t seen any butterflies in more than a week. It must be due to mosquito spraying in the neighborhood. I cancelled my service this year when I realized it was killing all insects, even the beneficial ones that support local crops, birds, and wildlife. Besides - even when I had my service, I still had mosquitoes.
I think this summer I will start using dunk buckets - here is a link if you would like to join me.

It’s a lot to take on by myself, both physically and emotionally. But I am determined to keep showing up and make space for responsibility and creativity.
(And goodness- I wish IG would let me edit my spelling after posting! - I do NOT have time to do this one again.)
Plant native and watch life unfold in your garden. Any idea what the webby stuff could be on my stokes aster? It is sandwiched between two leaves that the insect has glued together.
