Thank you for saving the Duck Factory!

Ducks Unlimited extends its sincere gratitude to the more than 219,000 individuals who responded to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s request for information on the rule that protects wetland easements in the Prairie Pothole region. They asked for our opinions, and you answered!

Your overwhelming response sent a clear and unmistakable message: conserving vital waterfowl habitat remains a priority for America’s hunters, conservationists, landowners, and outdoor enthusiasts.

Because of your positive, thoughtful engagement, these critical landscapes in North America's most productive duck breeding and migration regions will continue to receive the protection they deserve, and that you and all duck stamp holders paid for.

This achievement reflects the power of a united conservation community and demonstrates what is possible when people come together to protect our shared outdoor heritage. We are proud of what we accomplished together and grateful for your commitment to wetlands, waterfowl, and their future abundance.

Ducks Unlimited looks forward to continuing its work with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to keep the covenant between duck hunters and the future generations of waterfowl and waterfowlers who depend on the prairie potholes for North America’s ducks and geese.

Sincerely,

Rex Schulz, MD, President
