It's finally Friday.....and Baby it's HOT🥵 outside!! Between the temperature, humidity and heat index......I don't even want to look outside let alone venture out!!

Have you ever bought a Universal Remote that didn't work??🤪🤯 Well, I have. It has been a few years ago ...and while it turned out that it simply wasn't manufactured correctly.....yes, I took it apart.....🐱...you get it ...right?? Not everything can be ' universally' remoted( I don't think that is a word, but I am using it anyways!)

Todays' Universal Remotes are designed with better components and I have yet ti purchase one that didn't work.....however, I have recently discovered that no matter how much I try....it will not change the weather!! 🤣

Your first step to simplifying your life..... find a great organization system!!🤓
Pairing and sharing a Google Calendar or using an app, along with a visual color-coding system and a weekly family meeting for reveiws can be very helpful.....especially with teenage children!

🟥CHOOSING YOUR SYSTEM:

First step with this process is to Sync your phones to allow push notifications to keep everyone informed as schedules are often subject to change.

🔺WALL BOARDS: Hang a large erasable whiteboard or a giant paper wall planneri a central location, the the kitchen is a great place where everyone congregates at some stage during the day.
🔺COLOR-CODING AND RULISE ASSIGNMENT: Give each family member or event type (sports, school, work) gets a unique color or digital color tag.
🔺ONE SOURCE OF TRUTH: Setting rules for your calendars is important. Such as, if an event is not on the central calendar, it does not exist!🧐
🔺FAST ENTRY: Make a point to immediately add new events. Either from your phone or snap photos of school permission slips into your shared family folder.

On this most auspicious of days....we urge you to sit, speak and roll over....no, sorry...forgot myself for a moment.....actually, what we want you embrace is the spirit behind this day.....working like dog should in turn reap the rewards of a dog's life!

Have you ever wondered why the English language is so confusing?? Well, while it is a blend of other dialects.... over the centuries, we have continued to 'coin' interesting idioms like: “It’s a dog’s life” and “Work like a dog.”🧐

Fur instance......“It’s a dog’s life” refers to dogs being able to laze around and sleep all day. A vast majority of dogs are our daily companions. They are members of our family, whose biggest worry is the next trip to the vet's office! On the other hand, “work like a dog,” suggests the complete opposite. It means working to your maximum ability for an extended length of time. It is strange that these two phrases both apply to our canine companions, but are utterly contradictory!!😂

However, when we consider the training working dogs receive and the value they provide to farms, military, law enforcement, rescue, businesses, those with medical needs, and veterans....the phrase "work like a dog" takes on a whole new meaning! Their obedience and loyalty in completing a number of tasks, proves their love for us and their value in our lives every single day.

However, you choose to look at it..... Working like a dog, should reap the rewards of a dog's life!

We often bring you a punny from Star Trek Jokes to brighten your day and help your Friday move a little faster! Not to mention that Dustin is quite the fan of a great 'Dad Joke".....which typically is the arena of comedy that these fall into!

I truly enjoyed this one, because it reminds me of one of my favorite Bugs Bunny cartoons, with Toro the Bull!!🐃 There are only 3 Looney Tunes cartoons that featured Toro the Bull, and my favorite was "Bully for Bugs'!

As usual, he took that wrong turn in Albuquerque and ends up in the middle of a bull ring in Mexico City......where he ends up sailing over the arena walls into the nearby countryside.....only to declare that this "means war"!!

Truthfully he might have been okay if the chicken-hearted matador had decided to stay in the arena and fight the bull.....but he doesn't and leaves Bugs as the next viable target. This is where Bugs coins the phrase "Gulli-bull?! And, apparently, the matador had already figured out his exit strategy.....and Avoided-Abull!! 😅🤣
