🍼 DIAPER DISTRIBUTION DAY

Partnership for Community Action will be providing diapers to families on:

Diaper sizes will range from Size 1 through Pull Ups 4T/5T.

Distribution is open to families from all PCA service counties and will be first come, first served while supplies last.

📢 LIHEAP Program Update

PCA's LIHEAP has expended all available funding, and the current program year has ended.

The new LIHEAP program year is expected to begin in December 2026. We will share program dates and application information as they become available.

Water Assistance Mass Intake Day

Partnership for Community Action will accept the first 80 walk-ins for water assistance on Friday, August 28, 2026.

🕗 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Clients must bring copies of all required documents:

• Current photo ID for the applicant
• Social Security cards for everyone in the household
• Proof of income for the past 30 days for employed household members age 18 and older
• Current water bill showing a past-due balance

Assistance is available for residents of DeKalb, Gwinnett, Newton, and Rockdale counties.

Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis while slots are available. Provide all required documents at intake.

The LIHEAP program is ending. Monday, August 31 will be the final day for walk-ins.

Assistance is available while funding lasts. Clients must have copies of all required documents to be served.

HVAC Technician Training Opportunity

Interested in starting a career in HVAC? A limited number of seats are available for an upcoming in-person training program at Gwinnett Technical College’s Lawrenceville Campus.

📅 Anticipated Start: September 21
⏱️ 140-hour program
💲 Program Cost: $3,500

PCA may cover the cost for clients who qualify and are committed to completing the program.

Training includes HVAC fundamentals, electrical systems, safety, EPA Section 608 certification preparation, and career readiness.

🎒 Help Us Prepare for Next Year’s Back-to-School Festival! 📚

Thanks to our community partners, donors, volunteers, and staff, this year’s Back-to-School Festival was a great success. We provided 160 local students and families with school supplies, resources, activities, and a fun way to prepare for the new school year.

We are already planning for next year and are beginning to collect school supplies now. Starting early will help us serve even more students in 2027.

Join us for our Back-to-School Festival for family fun, activities, community resources, and free school supplies.

We will give away 150 bookbags on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Students must be present to receive a bookbag, so arrive early.
