Oak Grove UMC Youth

Last night we had our second monthly Go Do Good Sunday, and it was awesome!! 9 of our small groups worked on service projects at the church and 2 groups went off campus to serve a both a park and an assisted living facility!

From packing Beloved Bundles for victims of domestic abuse to playing board games with senior adults, all of our small groups did such awesome work and we're thankful for their servant hearts!!

A little look back at last night!! 💚 Continuing our Why Faith? series, we talked about what faith looks like in community and how important our people are to our relationship with God!

What a weekend!!! 🏖️☀️🌊🤗

We had the absolute best time this past Labor Day Weekend taking 57 youth to Epworth by the Sea on St. Simons Island! We worshiped, played, laughed, danced, and we are never getting over how awesome this weekend was!

Our theme for the weekend was "Keep it Simple," and we focused on 3 practical ways we can better follow the Way of Jesus: Be with Jesus, Become like Him, Do as He did. Students, we pray you will go back to your community better equipped to grow in your relationship with the Lord and help others do the same!

And a huge shoutout to our fantastic chaperones! This trip would not have been possible without your willingness to give up your weekend to serve our students!

Thanks to everyone who made this weekend possible, and we're already counting down the days until next Labor Day Weekend!!

We had a best time at our first ever Go Do Good Sunday yesterday!! After eating dinner and catching up with friends, each small group got to learn about the mission area they'll be serving in once a month for the whole school year! We are so excited for all the ways we'll get to be God's hands and feet in the world this year!

No youth group next week because we'll be at Beach Retreat next weekend!!

Another Sunday night with our people!! ☀️🧇🎶

This week we continued our series, Why Faith, and talked about how important it is to build our lives on Christ as our firm foundation!! We'll be back at it next Sunday for our first Go Do Good Sunday!

GUESS WHAT!! Just 2 weeks until we leave for beach retreat!! We'll be spending labor day weekend on St. Simons Island at Epworth by the Sea, and we can't wait for you to join us! Use the link in bio to get signed up!

We had the best time welcoming over 120 youth and volunteers for our first regular youth group of the year!

We kicked off our theme for the semester, Why Faith?, talking about how faith is the reality of what we hope for and the proof of what we don't see!

We'll be back next week at 5:30pm for high school and 6:00pm for middle school!
