Frazier-Rowe Park is part of Dekalb County’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs.
Friends of Frazier-Rowe Park is a volunteer and booster organization, and a Park Pride registered “Friends of the Park” group. *NOTE* We are Friends of Frazier-Rowe Park, a booster and volunteer organization supporting the park. A neighborhood group of volunteers started working in the park in February of 2013. The land had been farmed at one time, but not for several decades, and the land had become filled with trees and with invasive plants and trash. When volunteers started work, it was difficult to even walk into the park because of the mass of thorns and underbrush. Thanks to hundreds of volunteers, both neighbors and corporate and other groups who come to the Park through Park Pride, a non-profit group that works with park in DeKalb County and the City of Atlanta, the Park now is easy to access and we have trails throughout. We have had monthly workdays on a regular basis and almost all of the progress is the result of volunteer labor. We have been the beneficiary of three Eagle Scout Projects, which include a bridge over the creek that bisects the park, a kiosk in the front of the park, which tells about the park, and a scout learning center located in the rear of the park. We have received numerous donated plants from both our regular volunteers as well as the North Georgia Camellia Society.

Sorry for late notice, but we start with fall workdays at Frazier-Rowe this coming Saturday morning, September 13th, starting at 9:00. Bring gloves and water, we will provide the projects and camaraderie. Hope you can join us.

Quick reminder-the April workday at Frazier-Rowe Park is this Saturday morning, April 13, from 9-11:30. As an added attraction, our friends from MBM Auto Repair are cooking lunch for the volunteers at noon, so plan to stay for that.
Also, the book supply for our two little libraries is getting low, so if you have any adult or children’s books that you could donate, that would be great. please bring them Saturday.

TWO WORKDAYS AT FRAZIER-ROWE PARK THIS WEEK
We have volunteers coming to work at Frazier-Rowe Park for two workdays this week, Friday and Saturday.
The Friday afternoon session will be October 27 from 2-5 pm, with a couple of adult groups joining us.
Then there will be a Saturday morning session October 28, from 9-11:30 am, with volunteers from Community Bucket, which has worked with us many times over the years.
Hope to see you at one or both sessions.
