True Horsemanship Seminars

Kids need more than riding time.
They need real horsemanship.

This clinic is not a play day or a summer camp. It is a hands-on horsemanship clinic designed to help young riders become safer, more confident, and more prepared around horses.

Eddie will work hands-on with each child and horse individually, helping identify what they need and giving them tools they can continue practicing at home.

Kids will work on safety, control, communication, groundwork, riding skills, and understanding what to do when the horse doesn’t listen or things don’t go as planned.

Because the goal is not just to ride.
The goal is to understand the horse.

I have ridden 5-6 times now, so I feel better informed on her and my progress. When I dropped her off at True Horsemanship, she was a hot and very green horse. When I picked her up, she was still a hot horse, but she had a lot of information and learned reactions swirling in her young brain. It has taken me Eddie's lesson plus a week to teach myself just how I should ride her. She looks forward to each ride and is so happy when she and I get it right. My horse has moves that I never experienced before. Now it is my job to keep the education going! Today we went down in a ditch, across a log and back up. She didn't want to go, but trusted me and did it. Keeping reins short and soft did the trick! I am looking forward to many miles of new adventures with Pie! Thanks Eddie!
