Behind every child we serve is a team of caring, compassionate professionals dedicated to creating a safe place for children and families.

We’re so grateful for our staff and their commitment to helping children heal, feel heard, and know they are not alone.

We want to say a huge THANK YOU to Piper England and Priceville Junior High for hosting a snack drive for the CAC as part of United Way of Morgan County's Day of Action!

These snacks will help us provide a little extra comfort and care to the children and families who visit the CAC.

Myth: Abusers are usually strangers.
Fact: Children are often abused by someone they know and may trust — such as a family member, caregiver, family friend, or another adult in their life.

That’s why teaching children about safe adults, body boundaries, and speaking up is so important. 💙

Child abuse can be difficult to recognize, but knowing the facts helps us better protect children and create safer communities.

🐾 Facility Dog Friday! 🐾Today, we’re celebrating our incredible Canine Companions Facility Dog, Jezebel!

Jezebel has been busy making a difference at the Morgan County CAC, providing comfort and support to children and families during some of their most difficult moments.

In the last fiscal year alone, Jezebel provided more than 340 services! 🐶✨ That’s more than 340 moments where her gentle presence helped bring comfort, courage, and a little extra joy to the CAC.

We are so grateful for everything Jezebel does and the special role she plays in helping children feel safe, supported, and heard. We’re lucky to have her on our team!

Myth: Only physical abuse is serious.
Truth: Emotional abuse, neglect, and psychological maltreatment can be equally (or even more) damaging. These forms of abuse can affect a child’s mental health, development, sense of safety, and long-term well-being.

Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and valued. Abuse doesn’t always leave visible bruises, but its impact can last a lifetime.

Let’s recognize the signs, believe children, and work together to create safe environments where every child can thrive. 🩵
