What an incredible weekend in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho! ❤️🏔️

Beautiful wedding, lifelong friendships, and our son Trey proudly serving as best man. We enjoyed a four-hour cruise on Lake Coeur d’Alene, hiked the scenic Mineral Ridge Trail, and I even got to play the famous floating green at the Coeur d’Alene Resort—and parred the 14th! ⛳️

I attended the Georgia OB/GYN Society (GOGS) Annual Meeting and 75th Anniversary Celebration at Sea Island, Georgia.

GOGS serves as the voice and advocate for OB/GYNs and women’s health across the state of Georgia. I am proud to have served as the 70th President of GOGS in 2020, represented by the green medallion.

During this year’s meeting, I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Camille A. Clare, the first Black woman to serve as President of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the national organization representing OB/GYNs. Dr. Clare is pictured wearing the dark blue dress and blue medallion.

The celebration took place at The Cloister at Sea Island, one of the most renowned luxury resorts in the United States.

Health Tip Tuesday: Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) happens when the tissues and muscles supporting the pelvic organs (the uterus, bladder, or re**um) weaken resulting in the drop (prolapse) of the pelvic organs from their normal position. Pelvic organ prolapse is most common in women years after childbirth, after a hysterectomy, or after menopause. Treatment may include pessary, pelvic floor exercises, and surgical procedure using a body tissue or a synthetic mesh to help repair the prolapse.
