The Battle for Decatur is an annual reenactment history event organized by the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) Camp 580 Decatur Sons of Liberty.

Mark your calendars for September 4-6 2026 for “The Battle For Decatur” reenactment at Point Mallard Park.
Friday September 4th is an educational day; open to schools, private schools & homeschooled students and their chaperones. The School Day program will start at 9:30 in the open-air chapel.
Saturday & Sunday September 5&6 we are open to the public. Camp visits can start at 10:00am and the reenactment begins at 2:00pm.
The Ladies Tea starts Saturday September 5th at 11:30AM in the open-air chapel.
