Heading to Tuscaloosa for Alabama vs. Florida State tomorrow? Pay close attention to where your seats are located—it will dictate your entire game day experience! 🏈🐘🔥

Kickoff is set for 2:30 PM, and by 3:00 PM in the 1st quarter, the environment inside Bryant-Denny Stadium will literally be split in half. With an ambient air temperature near 100°F and a heat index pushing 107°F, conditions will be dangerously hot—especially if you're seated on the wrong side of the bowl.

**The Stadium Split: Sun vs. Shade at 3:00 PM** 🏟️☀️

🟦 **West Sideline & South End Zone (Shade):** The massive upper decks block the afternoon sun, keeping these seats and the Alabama sideline in the shade. Shaded concrete still hovers around 105°F to 110°F, but you get major relief by escaping direct solar radiation.

🟥 **East Sideline & North End Zone (Direct Sun):** These seats, along with the Florida State bench, face straight into the descending afternoon sun. Concrete acts like an oven—baking between 135°F and 145°F+ under full sun! That heat radiates straight up into your body, driving the heat stress far beyond what the thermometer reads.

**Game Day Heat Safety Rules** ⚠️🥤

💧 **Pre-hydrate starting tonight:** Don't wait until you get to the Quad or walk through the gates. You need fluids in your system well before kickoff.

🚫 **Water & electrolytes over booze:** Alcohol and caffeine will accelerate dehydration in triple-digit heat. Alternate every drink with plenty of water.

🏃‍♂️ **Use the concourses:** If you’re over in the East stands or North end zone, don't try to tough it out for all four quarters. Step into the shaded concourses regularly to let your core temp reset.

🚨 **Know the warning signs:** Dizziness, headache, nausea, confusion, or stopping sweating altogether are serious red flags. Don't hesitate to visit a first-aid station immediately if you or someone near you feels sick.

BB Perrins was founded in 1988 by Benny and Braxton Perrin. Benny Perrin played football for the University of Alabama and was on the 78’ and 79’ national championship teams coached by the legendary Paul “Bear” Bryant where Benny was able to get the Game Ball in Coach Bryant’s 315 game making him the winningest coach in college football history. After Benny’s retirement from the NFL where he played 5 seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals; Benny and Braxton learned to cook from the Amazing Pit Master Big John with Dreamland BBQ in Tuscaloosa which led to BB Perrins development in the Beautiful Downtown Area of Decatur, Alabama. For 38 years BB’s has been able to become a true staple BBQ restaurant for the North Alabama Area.
