📚✨ Empowering Our Children for a Bright New School Year ✨📚

Tonight, we're taking a break from our Wednesday night program to let our kids and parents prep for the first day of school. We'll reconvene on Wednesday the 12th, eager to hear about their exciting first week of school!

As we embark on this new academic year, let's surround our schools, staff, and students with positive energy and prayer.

May they be guided by wisdom, compassion, and courage.
May our young minds be fueled with curiosity, their hearts filled with empathy, and their spirits lifted with confidence.

May they make choices that inspire and uplift those around them.
May teachers be inspired by creativity and patience, and parents be filled with peace and strength.

May this year be a testament to the power of growth, discovery, and unconditional love.

Amen. 💛

Happy Parents' Day to all the superheroes out there!

We at Countryside want to give a huge high-five to our awesome parents who are the real MVPs (Most Valuable Pajama-wearers) for somehow managing to keep their sanity while dealing with tantrums, messy rooms, and endless questions of 'why?' all day, every day.

Your ability to love, guide, and referee is truly a superpower. We're all about family here and think it's super important to pass on the good stuff to the next gen - you know, like how to make a mean PB&J and the importance of saying 'please' and 'thank you' (and not throwing a tantrum when you don't get what you want). But most importantly, teaching children about Jesus!

So let's give praise to our amazing parents and the incredible work they do! 🎉👏

Making Prayer a Priority, Not an Afterthought

Prayer is not a last resort — it’s a first resort, a daily conversation with God, and the foundation of all other efforts. When we treat it as an afterthought, we risk neglecting its power to guide, comfort, and transform our lives.

Why should prayer be first?

Jesus modeled early and frequent prayer. In the Gospels, He withdrew to pray before major events, often for hours, showing that prayer is action, resolve, and relationship, not just a reaction to crisis.

Scripture commands us to “present your requests to God in every situation” (Philippians 4:6) and to “call on me in the day of trouble” (Psalm 50:15). This means integrating prayer into daily rhythms, not waiting until we’re out of options.
