Personally, I feel like a wedding reception is only as good as the people willing to get on the dance floor.

And baby… THEY CAME READY. 😭😂

This is why I’m always looking beyond the couple during receptions. Your people are somewhere behind you screaming lyrics, hyping each other up, attempting choreography nobody rehearsed and creating an entirely separate storyline.

And yes. Our team is there documenting ALL of it. 📸

Watching someone see their partner for the first time at the altar will never get old.

Every single expression is different.

Some smile. Some laugh. Some immediately start crying. Some are trying so hard not to cry.

Meanwhile, I’m behind the camera pretending I’m completely fine.

You can tell exactly how someone feels before they ever say a word. That’s why I love these moments so much.

No posing. No direction. Just pure emotion.

….And somehow… I’m supposed to keep my camera steady through all of it. 📷😭

The Wait🖤

There’s always a moment. Right before the music starts. Right before the doors open.

They’re standing at the altar trying to keep it together… and you can literally see every emotion across their face.

The nerves.
The excitement.
The anticipation.

Then they finally see their person…. and everything changes.

I don’t know how y’all expect me to photograph moments like this without crying too. 🥹😭😭😭

There comes a point during every wedding morning where it all finally hits.

The dress is on.
The shoes are tied.
The bouquet is in her hands.

And for just a second …“I’m really getting married today.” Those are some of my favorite moments to photograph.🥹
