Students will gain hands-on experience in:

Calhoun faculty and staff visited the Downtown Rescue Mission in Huntsville today where an incredible team is helping rebuild lives and provide hope to approximately 400 hundred individuals in our community.

We had the opportunity to talk about the power of education and workforce training—and how gaining new skills can open the door to a fresh start, a new career and a brighter future.

We’re grateful for the Mission’s work and proud to be part of the conversation about what’s possible when people are given a second chance.

A new chapter in aviation education is taking flight at Calhoun! ✈️

Today, we celebrated the grand opening of our Aviation Maintenance Technology hangar and the launch of our new FAA-certified Aviation Maintenance Technology program.

The ribbon cutting marked a major milestone for Calhoun and North Alabama, giving students a dedicated, hands-on space to train with the tools, equipment and systems used by aviation maintenance professionals.

With its first classes beginning tomorrow, August 19, the program will prepare students for careers in North Alabama's growing aviation industry while strengthening Calhoun’s partnerships with employers and aviation leaders throughout the Tennessee Valley.

We were proud to celebrate alongside representatives from the Federal Aviation Administration, Alabama Community College System, Pryor Field Airport Authority - Pryor Flight Center, Huntsville International Airport, the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce, state and local leaders, and members of the Calhoun family.
