Look what finally arrived! We are proud to now carry Tiny Health microbiome sequencing tests! If you are looking to make a true investment into your child's overall health and well being, this is a great place to start. Many of you are aware that many health problems originate in the gut. The microbiome is where the majority of your immune system lies, most of your neurotransmitters are made, has a huge connection to the skin and can be a major player in conditions such as eczema, has an effect on metabolic health (whether or not you are overweight) and can even play a role in things like a person's lifetime cancer risk. We have had several patients order this test already and it has given us so much good information on what to work on. We have even found it very useful in babies with milk protein intolerances as they can be lacking certain beneficial bacteria needed to digest certain proteins. The results will tell you which bacteria you have too much of (good or bad) and which specific beneficial bacteria you are lacking among many other things. This test is available online for around $270 with tax and it will be $220 including tax when purchased at our office. Unfortunately insurance does not cover this test but you should be able to use your FSA or HSA account if you have one. The kits in office will automatically upload results to our providers who have been working hard to train and learn more about the microbiome and we will be able to scan this into your child's chart and handle your follow up. You do not have to be a patient to purchase this test but we recommend discussing your results with your provider in this case.

There is so much more that could be said about the microbiome! I (Dr. Dudley) will post mine and my children's scores below in the comments as an example to show how easily even one or two rounds of antibiotics can change the health of your microbiome. There are other medications such as reflux medications among others that can also influence this. Obviously there are times where these things are needed but this test is a way to help your gut recover properly.

Look where our fabulous NP Chloe is! 😍 She is attending the Integrative Pediatrics Summit in Nashville and soaking up lots of new knowledge to share with our other providers and all of you! Today she got to meet Elisa Song, MD - Healthy Kids Happy Kids (author and founder of Healthy Kids, Happy Kids). Several of our providers have read her book and we highly recommend everyone read it! Looking forward to hopefully having a provider there every year from here on out!

Today we got to celebrate not one but THREE baby girls on the way! Congratulations to Lindsay, one of our wonderful PAs, Meg, one of our wonderful NPs, and Tania, one of our wonderful MAs on their baby girls on the way. We cant wait to meet Ruth, Maeve, and Olga!

Hello everyone! We hope you are all enjoying this holiday season with your family and that everyone has a fun and safe fourth. We want to let everyone know that our office will be closed Saturday July 4th and Sunday July 5th. We will be open until 8pm this evening should you need to be seen today. As always, we will have a provider available to do telemedicine visits if you need one at any time over the weekend.

Many of you know that we have several other products other than Earthley (we stay stocked on many of their products) but we haven't really shown people what all we have! Our goal is to save parents a trip to the store, to know they are getting the exact products we believe in and that the providers are using for their own children, and to provide clean ingredient products for cheaper than you can get them on Amazon. We will either post individual items in the comments here or an album later tonight or tomorrow. All prices include tax. We don't really have a great place for people to browse at our office at this time but if you have several things you would like to get, send us a message on here and we will get your idea together. We are working on possibly getting things added to our website depending on how this little trial run goes. Good afternoon everyone! Due to the incoming weather and so that our staff is able to pick up their children early from school, we will be closing at 1 o'clock today. If you have a visit scheduled after that time our staff will be calling you soon and offering to move your appointment time up. If you are not on the schedule yet but need to get in still we can do a nurse visit for a swab if needed or you may do a telemedicine with Dr. Dudley at any time today. Thank you all so much for your patience and support and we pray that everyone will stay safe in whatever weather moves in.

We have closed early tonight due to the possibility of dangerous weather. As always, telemedicine will be available this evening if needed and we will otherwise open at 8 am tomorrow.
